ABSTRACT

Air conditioning (AC) have been necessity for controlling the office room

temperature which is inclined closed. How ever the position of AC very often

based on only feeling. The relationship between AC capability, AC position and

made the people comfortable on office very often was not considering on AC

installation.

Room temperature distribution analyzing become important and necessity

on AC installation , remembering that UKM have a lot of rooms which is using

AC. The simulation is for analyzing the room temperature distribution using air

conditioning with test room dimension length 6,81 m x width 4,50 m x height 3,0

m. The test room is divided 48 node for 2 layers. Digital thermometer HVAC 80

is using for data recording. The recording for each node until 2 hours with

sampling time one minutes.

The analyzing used the finite difference conduction . The finite difference

is if we know the temperature of one node, we can find the temperature of others

node. The simulation is showing the three dimension picture surface contour of air

conditioning room temperature distribution when the steady state condition was

reach. The simulation using the Matlab for data processing.

ABSTRAK

Air Conditioning

(AC) telah menjadi kebutuhan untuk pengaturan suhu

dalam ruangan kantor yang cenderung tertutup. Namun peletakan AC sering

sekali berdasarkan perasaan

semata. Kaitan antara kemampuan kerja AC, posisi

AC, serta kondisi kenyamanan orang dalam ruangan sering kali tidak

dipertimbangkan dalam instalasi AC.

Analisis distribusi suhu ruangan menjadi sangat penting dan dibutuhkan

dalam penginstalasian AC, mengingat UKM banyak memiliki ruangan yang akan

menggunakan AC. Simulasi ini berisi distribusi suhu ruangan yang menggunakan

air conditioning

dengan dimensi ruangan uji panjang 6,81 m x lebar 4,50 m x

tinggi 3,0 m. Ruangan uji terdiri dari 48 titik ukur untuk 2

layer

. Dan

pengambilan data menggunakan sensor suhu “Termometer Digital HVAC 80”.

Pengukuran setiap titik ukur selama 2 jam dengan waktu sampling 1 menit.

Teknik analisis yang digunakan analisis konduksi

finite difference

yaitu

dengan mengetahui besaran suhu suatu titik tertentu maka dapat dicari besaran

suhu pada titik lain. Hasil simulasi yaitu menampilkan gambar distribusi suhu tiga

dimensi saat kondisi

steady state

(setelah 2 jam) tercapai berupa kontur

permukaan suatu ruangan yang menggunakan AC. Dalam penampilan data

gambar menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak Matlab.

PENDAHULUAN

Pada bab ini akan dibahas mengenai latar belakang, perumusan masalah, tujuan, pembatasan masalah, dan sistematika penulisan tugas akhir.

I.1 LatarBBelakang

Air Conditioning (AC) telah menjadi kebutuhan untuk pengaturan suhu dalam ruangan kantor yang cenderung tertutup. Namun peletakan AC sering sekali berdasarkan perasaan semata. Kaitan antara kemampuan kerja AC, daya listrik yang dipakai, posisi AC, serta kondisi kenyamanan orang dalam ruangan sering kali tidak dipertimbangkan dalam instalasi AC.

Analisis distribusi suhu ruangan menjadi sangat penting dan dibutuhkan dalam penginstalasian AC, mengingat UKM banyak memiliki ruangan yang akan menggunakan AC. Perangkat lunak sangat dibutuhkan untuk simulasi distribusi suhu yang rumit. Selain itu perangkat lunak juga mempunyai keunggulan yaitu dapat memberikan tampilan visual dari kontur suhu.

I.2BB PerumusanBBMasalah

Perumusan masalah pada tugas akhir ini adalah bagaimana mensimulasikan distribusi suhu ruangan yang menggunakan air conditioning (AC) ?

I.3 TujuanB

Tujuan dari tugas akhir ini adalah membuat simulasi distribusi suhu ruangan yang menggunakan air conditioning (AC).

I.4 PembatasanBMasalah

Dalam perealisasian tugas akhir ini diberi batasan sebagai berikut : 1. AC dalam kondisi terkontrol.

2. AC dianggap sebagai sumber titik. 3. AC yang digunakan berkekuatan 1 PK.

4. Dimensi ruangan uji panjang 6,81m x lebar 4,50m x tinggi 3,0m. 5. Ruangan uji dibagi menjadi 48 titik ukur untuk 2 layer.

6. Suhu awal tiap titik ukur sekitar 25.4˚C-25.8˚C.

7. Pengukuran suhu tiap titik ukur selama 2 jam, waktu sampling 1 menit.

I.5B SistematikaBPenulisan

Sistematika penulisan laporan tugas akhir ini dibagi menjadi 5 bab yang disusun sebagai berikut :

• Bab I : Pendahuluan

Bab ini membahas tentang latar belakang, perumusan masalah, tujuan, pembatasan masalah, dan sistematika penulisan.

• Bab II : Landasan Teori

Bab ini berisi tentang teori pengertian suhu, termometer, heat transfer, dan lain-lain yang mendukung laporan tugas akhir ini.

• Bab III : Simulasi

Bab ini berisi tentang cara pengambilan data, data perhitungan, dan simulasi tugas akhir ini.

• Bab IV : Data Pengamatan dan Analisa

Bab ini berisi tentang data pengamatan dan analisa data dari tugas akhir ini.

• Bab V : Kesimpulan dan Saran

Bab ini merupakan bab penutup yang berisi kesimpulan dan saran untuk pengembangan lebih jauh mengenai tugas akhir ini.

KESIMPULANBDANBSARAN

Pada penyelesaian laporan tugas akhir ini diperoleh beberapa kesimpulan dan saran antara lain :

V.1 KesimpulanB

Beberapa kesimpulan yang diperoleh dalam pengerjaan tugas akhir setelah penyalaan penyejuk udara selama 2 jam dengan suhu setpoint penyejuk udara 18o

Celsius pada ruangan berdimensi panjang 6,81m x lebar 4,50 m x tinggi 3,00 m diperoleh :

• Penggunaan blower pada penyejuk udara, menyebabkan respon suhu pada layer dua atau layer atas lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan respon suhu pada layer satu atau layer bawah karena letak ketinggian layer dua 120 cm dari lantai mendekati ketinggian sumber penyejuk udara yaitu 250 cm dari lantai ruangan sedangkan ketinggian layer satu yaitu 40 cm dari lantai.

• Dengan adanya faktor koreksi yaitu perbedaan hasil data pengukuran dengan hasil data perhitungan, maka hasil simulasi mendekati kondisi ruangan yang sebenarnya.

• Pada simulasi diperoleh pola distribusi suhu sebagai berikut :

- untuk layer satu meskipun suhu penyejuk udara berubah, tetap menghasilkan pola yang sama, yang berbeda hanya jika suhu penyejuk udara lebih dingin maka respon suhunya makin cepat.

- untuk layer dua meskipun suhu penyejuk udara berubah tetap menghasilkan pola yang sama (ciri khas pola distribusi suhu pada layer dua membentuk 3 zona/daerah dengan zona tengah ruangan lebih dingin diantara zona yang lainnya).Hal ini disebabkan karena adanya aliran udara dari penyejuk udara yang menggunakan blower dan sirip horizontal penyejuk udara lebih dominan mengarah pada tengah

ruangan. Sedangkan untuk sisi kanan ruangan kurang terasa meskipun ada pengaturan sirip vertikal pada penyejuk udara.

V.2 SaranB

Beberapa saran untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut topik tugas akhir ini antara lain :

• Sensor suhu harus banyak, minimal setengah dari jumlah node yang dibentuk agar diperoleh pengambilan data setengah ruangan dalam kondisi yang sama sama.

• Analisa perhitungan untuk pengembangan selanjutnya menggunakan metoda konveksi karena dalam penggunaan AC terdapat blower.

• Asumsi perhitungan data untuk perkembangan selanjutnya lebih mendekati dengan kondisi yang sebenarnya agar hasil yang diperoleh jauh lebih baik.
