Pengaruh Kebisingan Terhadap Kejadian Ketulian Akibat Bising (Noise Induced Hearing Loss) Pada Pekerja Bengkel (Workshop) Balai Yasa Pulubrayan Sumatera Utara PT. Kereta Api Indonesia
ABSTRAK
Kebisingan merupakan bunyi yang tidak dikehendaki dapat menimbulkan
gangguan komunikasi, konsentrasi, kenikmatan kerja bahkan penyakit ketulian.
Pekerja di Unit Bengkel (Workshop) Balai Yasa Pulubrayan Sumatera Utara PT.
Kereta Api Indonesia mempunyai masa kerja 3-30 tahun, bekerja di tempat kerja
dengan intensitas kebisingan diatas 85 dB(A). Sebagian pekerja mengeluh ada
keluhan gangguan komunikasi dan pendengaran.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh kebisingan terhadap
ketulian akibat bising pada pekerja Bengkel (Workshop) Balai Yasa Pulubrayan
Sumatera Utara PT. Kereta Api Indonesia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah explanatory
research dengan metode cross sectional. Populasi adalah 60 orang yang bekerja pada
unit produksi. Sampel diambil berdasarkan pertimbangan (purposive sampling)
dengan kriteria inklusi yakni sebanyak 42 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan
dengan cara wawancara, pengukuran kebisingan dan pemeriksaan audiometri.
Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji regresi logistik ganda (α = 0,05).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan periode pemaparan perhari dan penggunaan
APD memengaruhi kejadian ketulian akibat bising pada pekerja Bengkel (Workshop)
Balai Yasa Pulubrayan Sumatera Utara PT. Kereta Api Indonesia. Intensitas
kebisingan, frekuensi kebisingan dan masa kerja tidak berpengaruh terhadap kejadian
ketulian akibat bising pada pekerja Bengkel (Workshop) Balai Yasa Pulubrayan
Sumatera Utara PT. Kereta Api Indonesia.
Disarankan Pihak manajemen bengkel (workshop) Balai Yasa Pulubrayan
Sumatera Utara PT. Kereta Api Indonesia mengatur jam kerja tidak lebih dari 8 jam
per hari, memberi sanksi kepada pekerja yang tidak memakai APD, sebaiknya pekerja
bengkel (workshop) Balai Yasa Pulubrayan Sumatera Utara PT. Kereta Api Indonesia
untuk mempergunakan APD setiap bekerja dan pekerja di bengkel (workshop) Balai
Yasa Pulubrayan Sumatera Utara PT. Kereta Api Indonesia untuk lebih taat
mempergunakan APD sewaktu bekerja.

ABSTRACT
Noise is unwanted sound that can cause impaired communication, concentration,
enjoyment of work and settle deafness. Workers in the Workshop Balai Yasa
Pulubrayan North Sumatera PT Kereta Api Indonesia. PT Kereta Api Indonesia have
tenure 3-30 years, working in the workplace with the intensity of noise above 85 dB
(A). Some workers complained there were complaints of communication and hearing
disorders.
The purpose of this study to analyze the effect of noise on noise induced hearing
loss in workers' Workshop Balai Yasa Pulubrayan North Sumatra, PT Kereta Api
Indonesia. This type of research is explanatory research with cross sectional method.
The population is 60 people working on the production unit. Samples were taken
under consideration (purposive sampling) with the inclusion criteria as many as 42
people. The data was collected by interview, noise measurement and audiometric
examination. Data analysis was performed with multiple logistic regression test (α =
0.05).
The results indicate the period of exposure per day and use of PPE affects the
incidence of noise induced hearing loss in workers' Workshop Balai Yasa Pulubrayan
North Sumatra, PT. Kereta Api Indonesia. Intensity noise, frequency noise and years
of service had no effect on the incidence of noise induced hearing loss in workers
Workshop Balai Yasa Pulubrayan North Sumatra, PT. Kereta Api Indonesia.
Advised on the management workshop set working hours not more than 8 hours
/day, and impose sanctions on employees who did not use PPE. Workers workshop
for abiding use PPE during work hours.
