Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah ada perbedaan kecerdasan emosional pada
siswa pengurus OSIS dengan siswa bukan pengurus OSIS. Populasi dalam penelitian ini
adalah siswa pengurus OSIS dan siswa bukan pengurus OSIS. Pengambilan sampel pengurus
OSIS menggunakan sampel jenuh, yaitu semua anggota populasi dijadikan sampel yaitu
sebanyak 30 siswa. Sedangkan untuk sampel bukan pengurus OSIS menggunakan teknik
proportional random sampling. Skala kecerdasan emosional disusun berdasarkan komponen

kecerdasan emosional yang dikemukakan oleh Goleman (2000) yaitu kemampuan
interpersonal, kemampuan intrapersonal, penyesuaian diri, penanganan stress, dan suasana
hati. Teknik analisis menggunakan Uji Independen T Tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukan
bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional pada siswa yang
pengurus OSIS dan bukan pengurus OSIS dengan nilai thitung sebesar 5,586 dengan
signifikansi sebesar 0,000, karena nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05),
sehingga Ha diterima. Artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan
emosional pada siswa yang pengurus OSIS dan bukan pengurus OSIS.

Abstract

This study aimed to see whether there are differences in emotional intelligence in students
with student council members are not members of the student council. The population in this
study were students and student council members are not members of the student council.
Sampling council members using saturated sample, ie all members of the population sampled
as many as 30 students. While not a member of the student council for samples using
proportional random sampling technique. Emotional intelligence scale is based on
components of emotional intelligence suggested by Goleman (2000), namely interpersonal
skills, ability intrapersonal, adjustment, handling stress, and mood. Independent test analysis
techniques using T test. The results showed that there are significant differences between
emotional intelligence in students whose members are not members of the student council
and the student council with tcount of 5.586 with a significance of 0.000, because the
significance value less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), so that Ha received , This means tha t there
are significant differences between emotional intelligence in students whose members are not
members of the student council and the student council.
