EKSPLORASI PTERIDOPHYTA DI KAWASAN HUTAN TELAGAH
TAMAN NASIONAL GUNUNG LEUSER
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan paku.
Hasil identifikasi didapat berdasarkan ciri-ciri morfologi yang meliputi habit,
habitat, perawakan rhizome, perawakan akar, stipe, enthal (bangun, ujung,
pangkal, tepi, pertulangan, tekstur, permukaan dan warna enthal) dan sorus
(susunan hingga warna sorus). Ditemukan 56 jenis tumbuhan paku yang termasuk
ke dalam 2 kelas, 19 suku dan 34 marga. Dari 56 jenis tumbuhan paku yang
ditemukan, 40 jenis teresterial, 11 jenis epifit dan 5 jenis di antaranya dapat hidup
baik teresterial dan epifit. Jenis paku yang mendominasi adalah suku
Polypodiaceae sebanyak 11 jenis, diikuti suku Athyriaceae 9 jenis. Seluruh jenis
ditemukan pada ketinggian 1060-1190 m dpl dengan kelembaban udara 78-90%
dan intensitas cahaya 120-224 Cd.

EXPLORATION OF FERNS IN TELAGAH FOREST GUNUNG LEUSER
NATIONAL PARK
ABSTRACK
Research has been conducted to determine fern species in Telagah forest, Gunung Leuser
National Park. Identification of fern species was based on morphological characteristics
such as habit, habitat, stature of rhizome, stature of roots, stipe, enthal (form, tip, base,
edge, texture, surface and color of enthal) and sorus (arrangement and colour). The result
showed there were 56 fern species, belonging to two classes, nineteen families and thirtyfour genera. Of total 56 species, forty were categorized as terrestrial fern, eleven species
were epiphytes and five species were both habits. The most dominan species were
member of Polypodiaceae and Athyriaceae with total of 11 and 9 species, respectively.
Overall, species were found within altitude from 1060-1190 metre above sea level, with
air humidity of 78-90%, and light intensity of 120-224 Cd.
