ABSTRAK

Document's digitizing process is used in all sectors including medical
sector. Medical records have to be archived, so the doctor can uses them
to achieve better t;fiagnosis of the patient. Archived medical records
make medical history CJf the patient can be traced. DICOM is a digital
format designed-for storing medical records. Beside of 3D images, the
DICOM can also to be used to store voices, videos, and waveforms. All
data can be archived based on patient 's identity and can be treated as
database for the hospital information system development. By using
DICOMformat, incompatibility problem in storing medical records can
be solved.
