ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 Maret sampai 10 April 2009 di breeding farm PT.
Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm Unit 1 Gempol, Pasuruan.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara umur dengan produksi telur tetas
(Hatching Egg Production) dan daya tetas (Hatchability) parent stock ayam petelur pada kandang
close house system.
Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah parent stock ayam petelur strain Isa brown
dengan tingkat umur yang berbeda, yaitu pada umur 24-83 minggu.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey dengan mengumpulkan data primer
berupa recording data flock production summary dan data hatchability summary (FMS & SAP) PS, serta data sekunder melalui wawancara dan diskusi dengan pihak terkait dalam lingkup
perusahaan. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi
sederhana dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis variansi.
Hasil analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan nilai korelasi negatif sebesar -0,020 antara umur
dengan produksi telur tetas (hatching egg production) parent stock ayam petelur yang dipelihara
pada kandang close house system, dimana umur mempengaruhi produksi telur tetas (hatching
egg production) sebesar 0,04%, yang dinyatakan dengan persamaan y = 77,2493 + 0,732904x –
0,0069124x2, yang artinya bahwa jika semakin bertambahnya umur maka akan diikuti oleh
turunnya produksi telur tetas (hatching egg production). Korelasi negatif juga terjadi antara umur
dengan daya tetas telur (hatchability), yaitu sebesar -0,855, dimana umur mempunyai pengaruh
yang cukup besar terhadap persentase daya tetas (hatchability) yaitu sebesar 73,1025%, yang
dinyatakan dengan persamaan y = 72,3076 + 0,849174x – 0,0113954x2, yang artinya bahwa jika
semakin bertambahnya umur maka akan diikuti oleh penurunan persentase daya tetas telur
(hatchability).
Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari hasil penelitian yaitu bahwa hubungan antara umur dengan
produksi telur tetas (hatching egg production) adalah nyata, sehingga umur dapat digunakan
untuk memperkirakan produksi telur tetas (hatching egg production) yang dihasilkan oleh parent
stock ayam petelur pada kandang close house system. Selain itu dapat disimpulkan pula bahwa
hubungan antara umur dengan daya tetas telur (hatchability) adalah sangat nyata, sehingga umur
dapat digunakan untuk memperkirakan daya tetas telur pada (hatchability) parent stock ayam
petelur pada kandang close house system. Perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan terkait korelasi
umur dengan produksi telur tetas dengan penambahan data dan variabel lain, misalnya strain,
tipe kandang dan perkawinan.
ABSTRACT
This research was conducted from March 25th until April 10 th 2009 in breeding farm PT.
Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm Unit 1 Gempol, Pasuruan.
The purpose of this research to know age relation to hatching egg production and hatchability at
parent stock layer of strain Isa brown.
Items the used is parent stock of layer strain Isa Brown with different age storey level that is at
age 24-83 week.
The method of the research is survey with collect to the primer data form the flock production of
summary data and the hatchability of summary (FMS & SAP) – PS, as well as the secunder data
by interview and discussion with related parties in company scope. The data was acquistion later
analysis with simple regression analysis continued by variance analysis.
Based on the result of simple regression analysis, acquisition of negative value that is -0,020
between age with hatching egg production parent stock layer which maintains in the close house
system of the hen house, where are the age influence hatching egg production as 73,1025%, later
finding in equation y = 72,3076 + 0,849174x – 0,0113954x2, it’s mean that if do increase of age
so will that follow with reduction the hatching egg production. The negative of correlation occur
also at between age with hatchability as -0,855, where are the age influence hatchability as
73,1025%, later finding in equation y = 72,3076 + 0,849174x – 0,0113954x2, it’s mean that if do
increase of age so will that follow with reduction the hatchability.
Based on the result of the research, we can conclude that the correlation between age with
hatching egg production is obvious, consequently so the age can be used to predict hatching egg
production which has been producted by parent stock layer in the close house system of the
henhouse. The except can the result that the correlation between age with hatchability is very
obvious, so the age can be used to predict the hatchability at parent stock layer in the close house
system of the henhouse. Needful the research continuation about the correlation between age
with hatching egg production with increment of the other data and variable, instance strain, the
henhouse and breeding of animals type.
