4.5.1 Penaksiran Model Peramalan

Dalam mengolah data pada table 4.1, penulis menulis menggunakan metode peramalan dengan metode pemulusan eksponensial satu-parameter dari Brown. Untuk memenuhi perhitungan pemulusan eksponensial tunggal, ganda dan ramalan yang akan datang, maka kita harus menentukan parameter dari nilai α terlebih dahulu yang biasa digunakan dengan cara trial and error atau coba dan salah. Nilai α yang dipilih d ari 0 α 1 , dih itung Mean Square Error MSE yang merupakan suatu ukuran Universitas Sumatera Utara ketepatan perhitungan dengan mengkuadratkan masing-masing elemen dalam sebuah susunan data dan kemudian dicoba nilai α yang lain. Untuk menghitung nilai MSE pertama, dicari terlebih dahulu error yang merupakan hasil dari data asli dikurang hasil ramalan. Lalu tiap eror dikuadratkan dan dibagi dengan benyaknya error.
