Kata Kunci : Transformasi Ekonomi, Ekonomi Sektoral.
Transformasi ekonomi adalah proses perubahan struktur ekonomi, ditandai
dengan pergeseran dari satu sektor ekonomi kepada sektor ekonomi lainnya yang dapat
mempengaruhi perubahan Product Domestic Regional Bruto pada suatu negara atau
suatu daerah, berdasarkan ken,yataan pada saat ini perlu melihat proses transformasi
ekonomi di Propinsi Sumatera Utara.
Analisis penelitian menggunakan aplikasi model teori transformasi struktural
ekonomi dalam double logaritma natural yang diproses melalui Ordinary Least Square
(OLS), dengan menggunakan data skunder, berasal dari berbagai sumber, dalam runut
waktu penelitian tahun 1969 sarnpai tahun 2001. Sedangkan regresi memakai program
SPSS versi 11.0.5
Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi ekonomi di Sumatera
Utara terjadi pada tahun 1983 dimana kontribusi sektor jasa lebih besar daripada sektor pertanian,
dan tahun 1993 kembali terjadi transformasi ekonomi untuk sektor industri yang
memberikan kontribusi yang lebih besar dari pada sektor pertanian. Pada tahun 1998 akibat
krisis ekonomi struktur ekonomi Sumatera Utara kembali berubah dimana sektor pertanian
kembali memberikan kontribusi lebih besar dari pada sektor industri.

The economy transformation is a change of economy structure process, marked by
transforming an economy sector into other economy sector that able to influence the change of
Gross Regional Domestic Product for any nation, even any provincial government, conforms to the
reality as currently is necessary to view the economy transformation process on Sumatera Utara
Province.
T h e a n a l y s i s t o t h i s s t u d y a d o p t e d a m o d e l o f e c o n o my s t r u c t u r a l
transformation theory application within natural algorithm that processed through Ordinary
Least Square (OLS), there using secondary data, original from variously sources, arranged
its time of study from 1969 until 2001. While its regression used SPSS with 11.0.5 version
program.
The result of study showed that the economy transformation on Sumatera Utara
Province took place in 1983 where the contribution of services sector was higher than the
agricultural sector, still in 1993 occurred again the economy transformation for
industry sector that gave contribution rate higher on agricultural sector. In 1998 on the
economy crisis, the economy structure of Sumatera Utara changed again where the
agricultural sector gave contribution more once again higher than the industry sector was.

Transformasi ekonomi adalah proses perubahan struktur ekonomi, ditandai
dengan pergeseran dari satu sektor ekonomi kepada sektor ekonomi lainnya yang dapat
