4.2 Findings

There are some findings in the analysis above that shows hedonism in several selected song. The writer knows that the findings did not reflect the real condition of the habit of the hedonism where the people have their character. Here, the song lyric was reveal some kinds of hedonism, there are: Aesthetic hedonism, Ethical Hedonism, Egoistic Hedonism, and Universal Hedonism. “Last Friday Night” by Katy Perry uses 3 kinds of Hedonism; there are Aesthetic Hedonism, Ethical Hedonism, and Egoistic Hedonism. There are 5 lyrics that include in Aesthetic Hedonism. Katy Perry uses her glamorous appearance side to get more pleasure and make her friend crazy about her. She did not feel awkward to be drunk and express happiness spontaneously. In Ethical Hedonism, it has 2 lyrics that explain people way of thinking. Katy Perry tried to picture herself as a person who always think wise and realize her mistakes. She seems wake up from her dream where she has freedom and can express anything she likes. She thought that the accident at the party like a picture or dance on tabletop are the mistakes but she also known that would not become a matter and can beat her popularity. But it is only made her more known by the people. Here, “Last Friday Night” by Katy Perry also show 4 lyrics that included to Egoistic Hedonism. It means that Katy Perry have an Egoist side on describing the attitude of Hedonism. She forces herself to get happiness all the way. She also did not care with the social life around her. She did not care if there is a stranger in her bed and waste all money in her credit card until she got kicked out of the bar. Katy did not feel shame to do it again. Furthermore, she wants to do it again in next Friday. This is also explaining that Katy Perry as the songwriter only focus to get more happy and did not care about anything. Life, work, 46 relationship, social is not important to her. As the final result, the writer states that the song Last Friday Night from Katy Perry containing hedonism that reflect the life of people nowadays. “Party All Night” by Sean Kingston uses 4 kinds of Hedonism; there are Aesthetic Hedonism, Ethical Hedonism, Egoistic Hedonism, and Universal Hedonism. In Aesthetic Hedonism just have 1 lyric as the image of the people lives from the songwriter views. The songwriter explains that he disagrees with the rules of life. He put himself to against the rules of life and tries to get freedom with party all night and did not care anything. He wants to be rebel and break all the rules that tend binding the freedom to live. In Ethical Hedonism have 2 lyric that shows the hedonism. The songwriter put his own mind in picturing the people lives and the way of people think to get happiness. Sean Kingston feels confident to say that everyone did not have to worry about how to act in the social environment, everyone have to tolerance and understand the real meaning freedom wherever the fact of the attitude to interpret the freedom with disturbing situation that make another people feel uncomfortable. Here, the writer found the Egoistic Hedonism; there are 6 lyric that show hedonism. It is prove that the songwriter started to feel the happiness is too high until he pushes his self to get more happiness. The songwriter tells that the people is careless and out of control during the party. He did not care about the social environment. He also did not care about his own healthy. The writer also found the Universal Hedonism in lyrics of the song. There are 4 lyrics that contain hedonism. It also means that the songwriter also did not want to feel happy alone. He feels that he will not get happiness if all people did not come and join with him. He pictures the people did not get feeling happy too if they are not ever get involved or drunk. That 47 is what happens to the people. They always try to wrecking the happy feeling with party. As the final result, the writer states that the song Party All Night by Sean Kingston also containing hedonism that reflect the people‟s lives. “Good Time” by Owl City also uses 4 kinds of Hedonism. There are Aesthetic Hedonism, Ethical Hedonism, Egoistic Hedonism, and Universal Hedonism. In Aesthetic Hedonism just have 1 lyric that contain the hedonism, the songwriter explain that he have much money and he can spend his money for anything. Anything he want, he can get it. In Ethical Hedonism have 3 lyrics Hedonism it is means that the songwriter also put his idea to describe the way to having fun. He also said that he push his body without sleep to get more happiness. Egoistic Hedonism have 4 lyrics, and Universal Hedonism just have 1 lyric that contain Hedonism. Owl city also said that he will attend to the party everywhere. CHAPTER V CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

5.1 Conclusions

After analyzing the lyric of the songs to get Hedonism portrayed in some selected song, it can be drawn some conclusion to answer the problems of this thesis. In the last of chapter, the writer has some conclusion as the final part in this thesis. In this chapter also explain the entire previous chapter to make it clearly. The songwriter clearly shows the hedonism to describe the feeling of Happiness in their songs. It means that the lyrics also describe the way people lives because the inspiration of this song came from the habit of the people today. The writer divided the description of each song in a few points, they are: 1. “Last Friday Night” by Katy Perry shows that she is do anything to get happiness. She tried to make a party and have fun with her friend until they drop and can not to anything, they drunk and do something crazy in the bar and passed in her bed with a stranger. She also shows that she did not to care about the social situation and even want to do it again and again. 2. “Party All Night” by Sean Kingston explains that he disagrees with the rules of life. He puts himself against the rules of life and tries to get freedom with party all night and did not care about the social environment. He wants to rebel and break all the rules that tend bind to the freedom to live with party all night until he cannot do it again.
