1. Short Description of the Course
KPE 132 Book Report is designed t o int roduce st udent s t o English novels, increase t heir int erest and im prove t heir abilit y in reading lit erary w orks, in part icular novels.
Throughout t he course, are t o read four 4 different novels, com prising t hree 3 sim plified abridged novels and one 1 original unabridged novel. St udent s should
w rit e a report for each novel t hey read, including t he inform at ion about t he book, set t ing of place and t im e, charact er’s nam e and descript ions, conflict , t hem e,
sum m ary, and personal opinion about t he novel. This course is com pulsory and offered in Sem est er II. There is no prerequisit e course
for KPE 132 Book Report .
