ABSTRAK
Tesis ini suatu karya akhir tugas profesional sebelum menyelesaikan pendidikan Pascasarjana, Program
Studi Linguistik di Universitas Surnatera Utara. Tesis ini berjdul “Analisis Proses Sistem Transitivitas pada
Teks Iklan Radio Kiss FM Medan: Pendekatan Linguistik Fungsional Sistemik”.
Data iklan diperoleh dari hasil publikasi Radio KISS FM Medan dalam bentuk rekaman.
Dalam hal ini penulis memperoleh data tersebut secara langsung dari pihak pengelola radio Manager
KISS FM Medan, Bapak Deddy Moningka melalui staf administrasi Ibu. Pipit.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan jenis proses yang dominan pada teks iklan.
Penulis ingin mengetahui kata kerja apakah yang lebih banyak muncul ditinjau jenis-jenis proses pada
data teks iklan. Teori yang dipakai penulis dalam san tesis ini adalah teori analisis wacana mengenai
fungsional sistemik untuk menganalisis fungsi ideasional dalam hal ini fungsi experensial sehingga diketahui
jenis proses pada setiap kata kerja dalam suatu teks.
Metodologi yang penulis terapkan adalah metodologi deskriptif yang bertujuan menemukan
secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif fakta tentang teks iklan radio sehingga dihasilkan atau yang dicatat adalah
penjelasan bahasa yang sifatnya murni dalam proses yang dominan pada teks iklan radio KISS FM Medan.
Dalam pemerolehan tersebut diterapkan juga suatu perhitungan kuantitatif untuk menentukan persentase
masing-masing proses dari teks iklan.
Adapun hasil yang penulis peroleh setelah melakukan penelitian adalah bahwa yang lebih
dominan pada data teks iklan tersebut adalah proses Material diikuti proses Mental, Relasional, Verbal,
Existensial, dan terakhir Behavioral. Dan basil penelitian tersebut penulis menyimpulkan bahwa ternyata
jenis kata kerja yang paling banyak dipakai pada suatu teks iklan adalah jenis kata kerja yang
menunjukkan proses material karena menekankan produk jasa dan barang yang mendukung gerak fisik
tubuh ktifitas sehari-hari manusia.
Demikian uraian ringkas tesis ini sehingga dapat mempermudah pemahaman dalam membaca.

ABSTRACT
This thesis is a professional written work before finishing the Post Graduate am of
Linguistics Study Program of North Sumatera University. The title of this is “ Analisis Proses
Sistem Transitivitas pada Teks Iklan Radio Kiss FM Medan: Pendekatan Linguistik Fungsional
Sistemik”.
The data of the advertisement is taped by Radio Kiss FM Medan after having published
which is directly acquired from the manager of Radio KISS FM Medan eddy Moningka by his
assistant Ms. Pipit.
The Purpose of this research is to find out some types of process which is
dominantly appeared at the text of the advertisement. In this research, the writer wants to what type
of verbs that mostly appeared related to the text of advertisement. The applied is Functional
Systemic to find the experiential function in order to know e of process of verbs in the text.
The methodology which is applied is a Descriptive Methodology, in order to find facts about
the text qualitatively and quantitatively. In getting the result, the writer applies such a quantitative
accounting to find the percentages of each process from the text.
The result acquired by the writer after researching is the dominant process of the s Material
Process around followed by Mental Process, Relational Process, Verbal process , Existential
Process and at last Behavioral Process. From the result of the research, the writer finally
concludes that the type of verb that apparently and dominantly d at the text of advertisement is
Material Process as it emphasizes products such as services and things to support the physics of
human body and to support activities of the human.
Finally, the writer hopes that the abstract of this thesis will guide the
understanding of this thesis.
