ABSTRAK
ULFAH ANDARI GUSNI. Gambaran Histologi Proventrikulus Ayam Ketawa
(Gallus domesticus) dengan Tinjauan Khusus pada Kandungan dan Distribusi
Karbohidrat. Dibimbing oleh I KETUT MUDITE ADNYANE dan SAVITRI
NOVELINA
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari gambaran histologi
proventrikulus ayam ketawa serta kandungan dan distribusi karbohidratnya.
Sampel yang digunakan adalah proventrikulus dari dua ekor ayam ketawa.
Pengamatan histologis dilakukan dengan pewarnaan hematoksilin-eosin (HE),
alcian blue (AB) pH 2.5, periodic acid Schiff (PAS), dan Cason’s trichrome.
Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa proventrikulus ayam ketawa terdiri atas
lapisan mukosa (tunika mukosa), submukosa, muskularis (tunika muskularis), dan
serosa (tunika serosa). Lapisan mukosa dilapisi oleh epitel silindirs sebaris yang
mempunyai lipatan mukosa. Lapisan submukosa terdiri atas kelenjar
proventrikulus yang masing masing dipisahkan oleh lapisan otot yang tipis.

Karbohidrat yang terdapat pada proventrikulus ayam ketawa yaitu karbohidrat
asam dan netral. Karbohidrat tersebut ditemukan pada permukaan mukosa dari
lumen proventrikulus dan lumen kelenjar proventrikulus.

ULFAH ANDARI GUSNI. The Histology of Proventriculus of Gaga Chicken
(Gallus domesticus) with Special Refference to the Content and Distribution of

NOVELINA
The aims of this research are to study the histology also distribution and
carbohydrate content of Gaga chicken’s proventriculus. This reserch used two
proventriculus tissues of Gaga chicken. The preserved proventriculus of Gaga
chicken was processed for applying of various dyes including
haematoxylin eosin, alcian blue (AB) pH 2.5, periodic acid Schiff (PAS), and
Cason’s trichrome as it in histological. The observations was done by microscopic
observations toward histological structure also content and distribution of
carbohydrate of proventriculus from Gaga chicken. The results showed that Gaga
chicken’s proventriculus consisted of mucosa (tunica mucosa), submucosa,
muscularis (tunica muscularis), and serosa layer (tunica serosa). The mucosa layer
presented of folds were lined by simple columnar epithelium with muscularis
mucosa in the lamina propria. The submucosa layer consisted of glands lobules
were separated from one another by thin muscles layers. The carbohydrate which
was found in Gaga chicken’s proventriculus namely acid and neutral
carbohydrates. The carbohydrates were found in mucosa surface of lumen
proventriculus and lumen of proventriculus glands.
