ABSTRACK

Suriyadi , 2007.”Untilization of Fermented oil palm Umbut Flour by
Aspergillus niger in feed on the performance of Broiler 0-8 weeks of age
.”under advices of Ir.Tri Hesti Wahyuni M.Sc. as supervisor and Ir.T.Marzuki
Jacob as co-supervisor.
This research conducted at Biological Veterinery laboratory at the Animal
Science Department of Agriculture Faculty at North Sumatera University,on the
jalan Prof. Dr.Sofyan no 3rd Medan, for two months Started from March 8, 2007
to May 3, 2007. This research aimed to observe the response of giving fermented
oil palm umbut flour by Aspergillus niger in feed on the performance of broiler.
This research was using completely randomized design with five
treatment, four replications and each replication consisted of five chick. The
treatment was U0(feed without fermented oil palm umbut flour komersial feed
phokhpand), U1 (feed with 5% fermented oil palm umbut flour), U2(feed with
10% fermented oil palm umbut flour), U3(feed with 15% fermented oil palm
umbut flour), U4 (feed with 20% fermented oil palm umbut flour), respectively.
The research observed feed Intake, average daily gain(ADG),and feed conversion
ratio(FCR) of broiler.
The result of this research such as parameter feed intake (g/chick/week)
was:(869,31; 738,62; 728,32; 721,47 and 714,31 respectively) with average

754.31(g/chick/week) and the statistical analysis shown that feed intake on this
research was very significantly different (P
