NIM : 017018008/MEP INFLATION ANALYSIS IN NORTH SUMATERA 1980-2000 - xii + 13 pages + 5 graphs + 4 tables + 11 attachments Bibliography = 25 text book and journal Research entitled North Sumatera Inflation Analysis is to identify factors that influence inflation in North Sumatera. This research used secondary data, which is then analyzed using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. Using time series data from 1980 until 2000 finds, this research found that inflation in North Sumatera is influenced by government expenditures, investments, credit issued by commercial banks, net exports, exchange rates and public expectations. From those variables, government expenditures (X1), credit issued by commercial banks (X3), net exports (X4), and exchange rates (X5) are statistically significant to the inflation changes in North Sumatera. Conversely investment (X2) and the previous inflation are statistically insignificant.

NEU : 017018008/MEP ANALISIS INFLASI DI SUMATERA UTARA TAHUN 1980-2000 - xii + 13 halaman + 5 grafik + 4 tabel + 11 lampiran Tinjauan Pusataka = 25 buku literature Penelitian yang berjudul Analisis Inflasi Sumatera Utara ini merupakan sebuah penelitian yang ingin mengidentifikasikan faktor yang mempengaruhi inflasi di Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder, untuk kemudian di analisis dengan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Adapun alat bantu dalam mengolah data sekunder ini adalah Program Eviews 3.0. Dengan menggunakan data time series untuk rentang waktu 1980-2000 dan lebih jauh menemukan bahwa inflasi di Sumatera Utara dipengaruhi oleh pengeluaran pemerintah, investasi, jumlah kredit yang disalurkan bank umum, ekspor netto, kurs (Rp/US$) dan ekspektasi masyarakat. Dari sejumlah variable tersebut. Secara umum hasil estimasi memperlihatkan bahwa total pengeluaran pemerintah (X1), kredit yang disalurkan oleh bank-bank umum (X3), ekspor netto (X4), dan kurs rupiah terhadap dollar AS (X5) mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan secara statistik terhadap perkembangan inflasi (I) di Sumut. Sedangkan total investasi (X2) dan inflasi tahun sebelumnya (X6) tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan secara statistik.
