Shigella dysenteriae as organism cause of Shigellosis, representing the problem of health of
world with painfulness number and death significan especially at developing countries.
Shigellosis or dysentery basiler is a acute iritation at digestive channel, disease of dysentery
generally happened in area of tropik and cause endemic situation. Effort to overcome the the
disease usually use antibiotic like Tetrasiklin, but usage of antibiotic which not be controlled can
result bacterium resistensi. Therefore need more cheap and peaceful medication alternative of
facet is expense of, for example by exploiting natural materials like cinnamon extract
(Cinnamomum burmannii L.), Because of this oleaginous crop of atsiri, and flavonoid of tanin
having the character of Antibakteri.
This research type is True eksperiment by using complete random device (RAL) which consist of
8 treatment and each treatment repeated 4 times, as for treatment is each given concentration

0%,12,5%,25%, 37,5%, 50%, 62,5%, 75%, 87,5% and positive control by using tetrasiklin.
Result of data analysis indicate that extract cinnamon (Cinnamomum Burmannii L.) having
influence to growth of bacterium of Shigella dysentriae by In vitro, while cinnamon
concentration of Cinnamomum burmannii L.) what most effective to pursue growth of bacterium
of Shigella dysentriae is concentration 50%.
