Research Procedure Data analysis

Equation 1 Yo = P 01 X 1 + P 02 X 2 + ɛ 2 Hypotheses Hypothesis is the temporary answer in a research until the end of a research. In this research, the writer found out the correlation of st udent’s reading interest, their vocabulary mastery toward their reading comprehension. There were three variables that is analyzed in this research, namely: Dependent variable Yo is student’s reading comprehension, independent variable X2 is student’s vocabulary mastery and X1 student’s reading interest. 1. X 1 , X 2 Yo = there is a direct effect X 1 , X 2 to Yo

3.7 Hypotheses Testing

Based on the description above, the researcher has three hypotheses as follows: 1. H : T here is no direct effect of students’ reading interest on their reading comprehension of the second grade at SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung in the 20142015 academic year. H 1 : There is a direct effect of students’ vocabulary mastery on their reading comprehension of the second grade at SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung in the 20142015 academic year. 3. H : T here is no direct effect of students’ reading interest and students’ vocabulary mastery on their reading comprehension of the second grade at SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung in the 20142015 academic year. H 1 :T here is a direct effect between students’ reading interest and students’ vocabulary mastery on their reading comprehension of the second grade at SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung in the 20142015 academic year.

V. CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

This chapter presents the conclusions of the research and suggestions based on the data presentation and analysis from the previous chapter. This chapter is divided into two parts, the first is conclusions and the second is suggestions.

5.1 Conclusions

Based on the result of the data analysis and discussion in chapter IV, the writer draws the following conclusions: 1.
