Dwi Hartanto, 2016. UPAL-RE CONTINUOUS FLOW DESIGN FOR THE
DYE WASTE ALLOWANCE OF BATIK HOME INDUSTRY. The final project
of D3 Civil Engineering Infrastructure Urban Area, Sebelas Maret University of
Surakarta.

Batik Home Industry is one of the business industry who are in the life of our
society, The spread of Batik Home Industry, causing more and more waste
generated during the production process. From the batik work of the resulting
waste is thrown away without having treatment so that it would be disturbing and
cause environmental pollution. To ward off a negative impact on the environment,
to a processing waste liquid Batik Home Industry to achieve effluent that meets
the quality of minimum requirement. Therefore, a necessary alternative treatment
that is easy to operate and will produce higher efficiency in reducing the content
of colour on the water waste batik with Unit Processing of Waste The
Elektrokimia the flow of Continuous (UPAL-REK).
The purpose of research design UPAL-REK the capacity of 100 liter/hr, which is
to know the differences in efficiency in a based on the spectrophotometry of
absorption of light and the use of electrical power based on variations of a
distance of electrodes which is 2 cm and 3 cm by using metal Al and Fe as an
electrode.
The results showed that UPAL-REK with a distance of electrodes of 2 cm and
REC 11, 8 have efficiency, which is 81, 99 %. With the use of electricity by 15
the amperage and temperatures caused when the processing of 41 degrees celsius.
While UPAL-REK with a distance of electrodes 3 cm and REC 7,08 has the
efficiency of 68 % with the use of electricity by 8,7 the amperage and

temperatures caused when the processing of 39,75 degrees celsius.
