This is t o inf orm t hat we j ust experienced a powerf ul eart hquake in West Sumat era on
Wednesday, Sept ember 30, 2009 at 17: 16pm West ern Indonesian Time.
The epicent er of 7.6-magnit ude quake was 71 kilomet ers under t he sea level of Indian
Ocean, 57 kilomet ers Sout h West of Pariaman, a small coast er cit y around 70
kilomet ers Nort h West of Padang cit y, t he capit al of West Sumat era province.
The Indarung plant s sit e (PT Semen Padang) is around 14 kilomet ers East of Padang
cit y or some 104 kilomet ers away f rom t he epicent rum of t he eart hquake.
We are current ly in t he process of assessing t he impact of t he eart hquake at our
operat ions at PT Semen Padang. We believe t hat over t he next couple of days we will
be able t o provide furt her det ails on t he same.
