Abstrak
Fakultas Teknologi Informasi merupakan salah satu Fakultas di Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana Salatiga
yang baru saja memiliki gedung perkuliahan terpadu, berlokasi di Kampus 3 UKSW Blotongan. Karena gedung
tersebut tergolong baru, maka pemenuhan unsur branding sangat dibutuhkan, salah satunya adalah sign system. Sign
system merupakan simbol yang bertujuan untuk mewakili media interaksi manusia dengan ruang publik.
Penggunaan sign system di gedung tersebut saat ini belum memenuhi dari standarisasi sign system seperti font dan
jarak pandang serta material. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi serta redesain sign system yang sudah

ada. Mengusung tema “world of technology”. Menggunakan metode penelitian dari metodologi desain yaitu metode
merancang dengan gambar (design by drawing). Hasil dari perancangan ini berupa desain wayfinding, tanda
pengenal (identification), tanda petunjuk arah (direction), tanda peringatan atau larangan (regulation).
Kata kunci : Fakultas Teknologi Informasi, sign system, redesain.

Abstract
The Faculty of Information Technology is one of the faculties in Satya Wacana Christian University Salatiga that
has just built integrated lecturing building, located in campus 3 of SWCU Blotongan. Because the bulding is quite
new then the fulfillment of branding elements are very neede, one of them is sign system. Sign system is a symbol
that aims to represent the media of human interaction with the public space. The use of sign system in the building
has not fullfiled sign system standardization such as font and visibility as well as material.This design aims to
evaluate and redesign existing sign system. Carrying the theme “ world of technology” .Using research method
from design methodology that is design by drawing. The result of this design is wayfinding design, identification
sign, sign of direction, warning sign or regulation sign.
