ABSTRACT
MUHAIMIN ZIKRI PRATAMA. Diversity Type Bags Semar (Nepenthes spp.) in the
Nature Reserve Dolok Sibual Buali, North Sumatra. Under academic supervision by
PINDI PATANA and YUNASFI.
Nepenthes is a carnivorous plant that is at each end of the leaf has a unique bag.
This unique bag can trap insects or other small animals, as in the pocket there is nectar
glands (glands honey) that can lure insects especially liked the sweet taste. This research
was conducted in the Nature Reserve Dolok Sibual Buali in August until October 2014.
This study aims to determine the diversity of plant species in the area of Nepenthes
Nature Reserve Dolok Sibual-Buali, North Sumatra and Knowing dominance Nepenthes
plants are found in the Nature Reserve Dolok Sibual -Buali, North Sumatra. This survey
using the cluster method is to determine the area of the sample is based on consideration
of the existence of Nepenthes (searching the sample). From the research results can be
seen, there are 5 types of Nepenthes in Cagar Alam Dolok Sibual Buali, namely that N.
Bongso N. ovata, N. reinwardtiana, rhombicaulis N., and N. tobaica. Total clumps most
is N. reinwardtiana with 169 clumps and clumps least number is N. sumatrana with 54
clumps.

di Cagar Alam Dolok Sibual Buali, Sumatera Utara. Dibimbing oleh PINDI PATANA
dan YUNASFI.
Nepenthes merupakan tumbuhan karnivora yang di setiap ujung daunnya
memiliki kantung yang unik. Kantung yang unik ini dapat menjebak serangga atau hewan
kecil lainnya, karena di dalam kantungnya terdapat nectar glands (kelenjar madu) yang
dapat memikat serangga khususnya yang menyukai rasa manis. Penelitian ini dilakukan
di Cagar Alam Dolok Sibual Buali pada bulan Agustus hingga Oktober 2014. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman spesies tumbuhan Nepenthes yang
berada di kawasan Cagar Alam Dolok Sibual-Buali, Sumatera Utara dan Mengetahui
dominansi tumbuhan Nepenthes yang ditemukan di Cagar Alam Dolok Sibual-Buali,
Sumatera Utara. Penelitian menggunakan metode cluster yaitu dengan menentukan
daerah sampel berdasarkan pertimbangan keberadaan Nepenthes (searching sample).
Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui terdapat 5 jenis Nepenthes di Cagar Alam Dolok
Sibual Buali, yaitu yaitu N. bongso, N. ovata, N. reinwardtiana, N. rhombicaulis, dan
N. tobaica . Jumlah rumpun paling banyak adalah N. reinwardtiana dengan 169
rumpun dan jumlah rumpun paling sedikit adalah N. sumatrana dengan 54 rumpun.
