Kajian Sifat Fisika Tanah Ultisol Menggunakan Pembenah Kompos Bertanaman Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) Dengan Tingkat Pemberian Air Berbeda

ABSTRAK

SYARAH MULKAN PARINDURI : Kajian sifat fisika tanah ultisol menggunakan
pembenah kompos bertanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) dengan tingkat
pemberian air berbeda, dibimbing oleh SUMONO dan NAZIF ICHWAN.
Sifat fisika tanah merupakan faktor penting bagi pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sifat fisika tanah ultisol menggunakan pembenah
kompos bertanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) dengan tingkat pemberian air
berbeda. Penelitian dalam skala rumah kaca menggunakan rancangan acak
lengkap non faktorial, terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 8 ulangan, yaitu pemberian air
100 % kapasitas lapang, pemberian air 80 % kapasitas lapang, pemberian air 60 %
kapasitas lapang. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tekstur tanah, bahan organik,
porositas, suhu tanah, permeabilitas tanah, evapotranspirasi, berat basah dan berat
kering tanaman.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jenis tanah ultisol bertekstur lempung
berpasir, bahan organik tanah rata-rata 5,69 %, porositas berkisar 52,23 – 54,50
%, suhu tanah rata-rata 30,5oC, permeabilitas berkisar 6,15 – 7,76 cm/jam,
evapotranspirasi berkisar 0,66 – 0,68 mm/hari, berat basah tanaman pakcoy
berkisar 57,5 – 70 g dan berat kering tanaman berkisar 3,61 – 5,09 g.

ABSTRACT
SYARAH MULKAN PARINDURI: The study of the physical properties of
ultisol soil using the composting planted with pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) with
different water level, supervised by SUMONO and NAZIF ICHWAN.
Soil physics is an important factor for plant growth. The objective of this research
is to study the physical properties of ultisol soil by using compost planting with
pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) with different water level. Research was done on
greenhouse scale using a completely non factorial randomized design, consisting
of 3 treatments and 8 replications, ie 100 % water supply of field capacity, water
supply of 80 % field capacity, and water supply at 60 % of field capacity.
Parameters observed were soil texture, organic matter, porosity, soil temperature,
soil permeability, evapotranspiration, wet weight and dry weight of the plant.
The results showed that the soil was sandy loam textured ultisol soil, soil
organic matter was 5,69 %, in average porosity was ranged from 52,23 to 54,50
%, average soil temperature was 30,5oC, permeability was ranged from 6,15 to
7,76 cm/h, evapotranspiration was ranged from 0,66 to 0,68 mm/d, wet weight of
pakcoy plants was ranging from 57,5 to 70 g and dry weight of plants was ranged
from 3,61 to 5,09 g.
