KEANEKARAGAMAN IKAN DI BAGIAN HULU SUNGAI
HORAS, KECAMATAN HATONDUHAN, KABUPATEN
SIMALUNGUN, SUMATERA UTARA

ABSTRAK

Penelitian mengenai keanekaragaman ikan telah dilakukan di sungai horas,
kecamatan hatonduhan, kabupaten simalungun pada bulan Maret 2016. Penentuan
titik lokasi penelitian menggunakan metode “Purposive Sampling” dengan
menentukan tiga stasiun berdasarkan aktivitas masyarakat di Sungai tersebut. Ada
enam spesies ikan yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian yang diklasifikasikan ke
dalam 1 kelas, 3 ordo (Cypriniformes, Perciformes, Siluriformes) dan 4 famili
(Cyprinidae, Channidae, Mastacembellidae dan Clariidae). Kepadatan tertinggi
ditemukan pada stasiun 2 dengan nilai 0,043 ind/m2 dan terendah pada stasiun 3
dengan nilai 0,032 ind/m2. Indeks keanekaragaman dari ketiga stasiun tergolong
rendah yaitu berkisar 1,15-1,77. Berdasarkan hasil analisis korelasi pearson, nilai
suhu, penetrasi cahaya, dan pH berkorelasi sangat kuat terhadap keanekaragaman
ikan.

THE DIVERSITY OF FISH IN THE UPSTREAM OF HORAS
RIVER, DISTRICT HATONDUHAN, SIMALUNGUN
REGENCY, NORTH SUMATERA

ABSTRACT

The study on the diversity of fish has been conducted at Horas river, district
Hatonduhan, Simalungun regency during March 2016. Purposive sampling
method was used to determine three stasions of the research based on community
activities at the river. The research found six genera of fishes, classified into one
class, three ordos (Perciformes, Cypriniformes, Siluriformes) and four families
(Cyprinidae, Channidae, Mastacembellidae dan Clariidae). The highest density
was found at 2nd stasion with the value of 0,043 ind/m2 and the lowest was found
at 3rd stasion with the value 0,032 ind/m2. Diversity index from all stations were
low with ranges from 1,15 to 1,77. Pearson correlation analysis indicated that
temperature, light penetration, pH value are strongly correlated with the diversity
of fishes.
