HUBUNGAN ANTARA KREDIBILITAS GURU NATIVE SPEAKER DENGAN KEPUASAN SISWA TERHADAP THE BRITISH INSTITUTE.
ABSTRAK

Masyarakat, Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi, Universitas Padjadjaran. Penelitian ini
berjudul “Hubungan Antara Kredibilitas Guru Native Speaker dengan Kepuasan
Siswa Terhadap The British Institute” sebuah studi korelasional mengenai
Kredibilitas Guru Native Speaker dengan Kepuasan Siswa Terhadap The British
Institute Dago Bandung ini di bawah bimbingan Drs. H. Wawan Setiawan,
M.I.Kom sebagai pembimbing utama dan Trie Damayanti, S.Sos., M.Si sebagai
pembimbing pendamping.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara
kredibilitas guru native speaker dengan kepuasan para siswa terhadap The British
Institute. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori The Functional Model of Source
Credibility dari Infante.
Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode korelasional dengan teknik analisis
yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif dan teknik analisis inferensial.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 559 siswa kelas dewasa di The British
Institute. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik random sampling
kemudian diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 118 orang siswa.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kredibilitas guru native speaker
mempunyai hubungan yang cukup berarti dan signifikan dengan kepuasan siswa
terhadap The British Institute. Adanya hubungan yang terkait dengan aspek
keahlian, kepercayaan, daya tarik, harapan siswa, dan penilaian siswa.
Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kredibilitas guru native speaker dapat
memenuhi kebutuhan siswa sehingga siswa merasa puas terhadap The British
Institute.
Saran yang dapat diberikan dari penelitian ini adalah agar dapat
meningkatkan keahlian dan daya tarik guru native speaker dalam menyampaikan
materi sehingga dapat meningkatkan kredibilitas guru maupun lembaga The
British Institute.

study were 559 adult students in the class of the British Institute. The sampling
technique used is random sampling technique then obtained a total sample of 118
students.
The results of this study indicate that the credibility of the native speaker
teachers have a significant relationship with the level of satisfaction and
significant student against the British Institute. The existence of relationships
associated with aspects of expertise, confidence, attractiveness, expectations of
students, and student assessment.
Conclusions from this research is the credibility of the native speaker
teachers can meet the needs of students so that the students are satisfied with the
British Institute.
Advice can be given of this research is to increase the attractiveness of
expertise and native speaker teachers in presenting the material so as to enhance
the credibility of the teacher and The British Institute.
