Jordan tells him that Tom has a lover, Myrtle Wilson, who lives in the valley of ashes, a gray industrial dumping ground between West Egg and New York

Myrtle. ” Those are Nick statements. Nick hear the two having loud sex in an
adjoining room. When Tom and Myrtle throw a party, women and men cavort in their underwear; theres much kissing and sensuality.
An admin at Whynott blog has response about the Great Gatsby novel. “Structurally, I loved the idea of a novel where the person who‟s telling you
the story isn‟t truly the main character. Nick Caraway is the perfect narratorobserver and therefore the most qualified to provide insights into the
lives of those he is interacting with and the time in which he lives. I may not have read many classics, but I feel like this doesn‟t happen very much in
literature at least, not well. ” The other response by Kathryn at Whynott blog is
“There is so much good stuff in that book, I only got about half of it when I read it as a junior in high school. Granted, I think I literally only read half of it
excessive skimming due to procrastination syndrome I too recently re read it in preparation for the movie, and thought your reaction was dead on. The
danger of single minded obsession, greed, and for me especially the fascinating point of view the reader gets looking at this unique time and place
in history from a mild and unbiased voice in nick. Did you see that they set the date for the movie finally? May 5th I believe. I‟m stoked. Baz Luhrman +
