3. Bulan April sampai Oktober, bertiup angin Timur Tenggara. Angin kencang
bertiup pada bulan Januari dan Februari diikuti dengan hujan deras dan laut bergelora.

sebanyak 91 dengan angin Tenggara dominan 61 . 5.
Bulan Oktober sampai Maret bertiup angin Barat Laut sebanyak 50 dengan angin Barat Laut dominan 28.
c. Curah Hujan
Curah hujan di Pulau Kurrata-rata antara 2 000 – 3 000 mm per tahun. Tahun
2012, Curah hujan di Kecamatan P. P. Kur adalah 2.149 mm per tahun atau rata- rata 179,08 mm per bulan dengan jumlah hari hujan sebanyak 118 hari atau
rata-rata 9,8 hari hujan per bulan.

1. Suhu rata-rata untuk tahun 2012 sesuai data dari Stasiun Meteorologi Dumatubun Langgur adalah 27,1 ºC dengan suhu minimum 24,0 ºC dan
maksimum 34,1 ºC. 2. Kelembaban rata-rata 82,5, penyinaran matahari rata-rata 53,9 dan
tekanan udara rata-rata 1.009,3 milibar Tabel 1.3.3..

1. GEOGRAPHICAL SITUATION
Geographic Location District of P. P. Kur is astronomically located between 5° 15
– 5° 35 South Latitudes and 131° 52
– 132° 2 East Longitudes. Geographically District of P. P. Kur is bordered by :
Northern border : Banda Sea
Southern border : Indian Ocean
Eastern border :
Kur Strait Western border :
Banda Sea
Topography Based on its topography, P. P. Kur is a flat area of 55,22 Km
2
located between 0 - 128 meters above the sea level.
Geology Based on Indonesian Geology Map [1965], Island Archipelago in the Regency
of Maluku Tenggara are formed by 3 kinds soil and 5 kinds rock [Table 1.2.3]. Climate
The Climateis influenced by Banda Sea, Arafura Sea and Indian Ocean, and also by Irian island in the eastern part, and Australian continent in the southern part,
so that there is an uncertainty on seasonal transition period. a.
Type of Climate Based on Agroclimate Classification by OLDEMAN, IRSAL and MULADI
[1981], District of P. P. Kur is classified in Zone C2 with number of wet month 5 - 6 months and dry month 4 - 5 months.

1. Regularly, East Wind Season start from April to October. This season is a
dry season. West Wind Season start from October to April. December to February is the period with heaviest rainfall.
2. Seasonal transitions fall in MarchApril and OctoberNovember.
3. From April to October wind blows East and South East. Hard wind blows
in January and February followed by heavy rain and rough sea. 4.
During April to September 91 wind blows East, South East and South with South East wind 61 dominance.
5. From October to March blows North Westwind 50 with North West
