Pemerintahan Kota Palopo Dalam Angka 2015 25 Sebagai wujud nyata bahwa DPRD adalah pemikir dan salah satu penentu keberhasilan pembangunan di suatu daerah dapat tercermin dari kegiatan persidangan yang dilaksanakan selama setahun. Tabel 2.4 menunjukkan kegiatan rapat DPRD Palopo selama tiga tahun terakhir 2012-2014, selama tahun 2014 DPRD Kota Palopo secara kumulatif dari semua jenis rapat yang dilaksanakan tercatat sebanyak 280 kali, jumlah ini mencerminkan pada periode satu tahun terakhir secara rata-rata setiap hari DPRD melaksanakan 1-2 kali. Namun demikian jika dibandingkan dengan frekuensi pelaksanaan rapat satu tahun sebelumnya sedikit menunjukkan penurunan yang cukup signifikan yaitu sebanyak 430 kali persidangan pada tahun sebelumnya. Diharapkan dengan anggota DPRD dengan berbagai usia dan pendidikan dapat menyerap aspirasi masyarakat di semua lapisan. 3. JUMLAH PEGAWAI PNS

Pada Tabel 2.5 sampai dengan Tabel 2.6 disajikan Informasi Jumlah Pegawai Negeri Sipil PNS dan komposisinya menurut jenis kelamin, pendidikan dan golongan pada dilingkup Pemerintah Kota Palopo sesuai keadaan akhir tahun 2014. Sumber informasi dari Badan Kepegawaian Daerah Kota Palopo BKD menyatakan bahwa sampai dengan keadaan akhir Tahun 2014 jumlah PNS yang ada pada lingkungan Pemerintah Kota Palopo sebanyak 5.207 orang, secara rinci menurut jenis kelamin masing-masing sebanyak 2.183 orang laki-laki dan 3.024 orang perempuan.

2. EMPLOYEE PNS

Kemudian seperti yang dipaparkan pada Tabel 2.6, Golongan PNS di Kota Palopo tercatata masih ada 29 orang pegawai yang berstatus golongan satu, 859 orang golongan dua, 3001 orang golongan tiga dan sisanya sebanyak 1.318 orang yang telah berhasil sampai posisi golongan empat. 3. KECELAKAAN

LALU LINTAS Pada Tabel 2.15 dipaparkan banyaknya peristiwa kecelakaan lalu lintas selama periode empat tahun terakhir. Mencermati informasi tersebut maka dapat dikatakan bahwa frekuensi terjadinya kecelakaan lalu lintas pada tahun 2014 mengalami kenaikan dari tahun sebelumnya. Angka ini sangat besar mengingat rata-rata kecelakaan selama tahun 2011 – 2014 sebesar 98 kali setiap tahunnya, hal ini menjadi perhatian yang cukup serius dikarenakan telah mencapai 114 kejadian peristiwa kecelakaan lalu lintas yang di tangani oleh Polres Kota Palopo pada tahun 2014.

3. TRAFIC ACCIDENTS

BAB III PENDUDUK DAN

KETENAGAKERJAAN 1. PENDUDUK Penduduk Kota Palopo pada akhir 2014 tercatat sebanyak 164.903 jiwa, secara terinci menurut jenis kelamin masing- masing 80.410 jiwa laki-laki dan 84.493 jiwa perempuan, dengan demikian maka Rasio Jenis Kelamin sebesar 95,17 angka ini menunjukkan bahwa bilamana terdapat 100 penduduk perempuan ada 95 - 96 penduduk laki-laki, atau dengan kata lain bahwa perbandingan penduduk laki-laki dan perempuan di Kota Palopo pada Tahun 2014 sudah mendekati 1 banding 1. Dengan pertumbuhan penduduk pertahun rata-rata sebesar 2,54 persen.

Bila diamati secara teliti terlihat bahwa ada 3 kecamatan yang penduduknya terbilang sangat padat jika dibandingkan dengan kecamatan lainnya, ketiga kecamatan dimaksud adalah Kecamatan Wara dengan angka kepadatan 3.105 jiwa per km 2 , Kecamatan Wara Timur dengan angka kepadatan sebanyak 2.935 jiwa per km 2 dan Kecamatan Wara Utara dengan angka kepadatan sebesar 1.994 per km 2 , selain itu Kecamatan Bara dengan kepadatan 1.101 jiwa per km 2 dan Kecamatan Wara Selatan dengan kepadatan 1.013 per km 2 , berikutnya Kecamatan Telluwanua sebanyak 361 per km 2 , sementara tiga Table 3.3 shows the distribution of the population in each district Palopo, districts according to population density is very uneven or very varied. Artinya setiap seratus penduduk usia produktif Kota Palopo yang berusia usia 15- 64 tahun menanggung beban bagi penduduk yang belum dan atau tidak produktif lagi sekitar 66-67 orang.
