Uji Ketahanan Beberapa Varietas Jagung (Zea Mays l.)Terhadap Penyakit Karat Daun (Puccinia Polysora Underw.)Di Dataran Rendah

Rust Disease Attack (Puccinia polysora Underw.) In the Lowlands”. Supervised
by Dr. Ir. Hasanuddin, MS and Ir. Lahmuddin Lubis, MP. This study aims to
determine the resistance of some varieties of maize (Zea mays L.) to leaf rust
disease (Puccinia polysora Underw.) in the lowlands. Research conducted in the
village of Tanjung Selamat, Medan. Research using randomized block design with
10 treatments and three replications.
The result showed resistant varieties was Pioneer 12, Bisi 12, Bisi 16,
SHS 2, SHS 12 and DK 3. Tolerant varieties was Pioneer 23, Bisi 2, NK 22 and
NK 99. The highest production found on Bisi 12 amounting to 6.14 tonnes/ha and
the lowest production found on Pioneer 23 amounting to 3.97 tonnes/ha.

Dibimbing oleh Dr. Ir. Hasanuddin, MS dan Ir. Lahmuddin Lubis, MP. Penelitian

ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketahanan beberapa varietas jagung (Zea mays L.)
terhadap penyakit karat daun (Puccinia polysora Underw.) di dataran rendah.
Penelitian dilaksanakan di desa Tanjung Selamat, Medan. Penelitian
menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 10 perlakuan dan tiga ulangan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan varietas resisten terdapat pada varietas
Pioneer 12, Bisi 12, Bisi 16, SHS 2, SHS 12 dan DK 3. Varietas toleran terdapat
pada varietas Pioneer 23, Bisi 2, NK 22 dan NK 99. Produksi tertinggi terdapat
pada Bisi 12 sebesar 6.14 ton/ha dan produksi terendah pada Pioneer 23 sebesar
3.97 ton/ha.
