Alhamdulillah. Puji syukur ke hadirat Allah SWT atas rejeki, tuntunan, dan
kekuatan yang diberikan sehingga penulis dapat menyusun dan menyelesaikan Mata
Kuliah Tugas Akhir ini guna memenuhi persyaratan untuk mencapai gelar Sarjana

ABSTRAK

Ima Tri Kurniawati, 2014. Pengantar Karya Tugas Akhir ini berjudul Perancangan
Buku Komik Pasar Tradisional “DUET di Pasar Solo”. Adapun permasalahan yang
dikaji adalah

bagaimana membuat buku komik yang menarik, kreatif, dan

menghibur yang mengenalkan tentang kehidupan dan sejarah pasar tradisional di
Kota Surakarta, terutama bagi remaja. Pembuatan komik ini juga dimaksudkan untuk
mendukung perkembangan komik yang bertemakan tradisi lokal di Indonesia.
Diharapkan buku komik ini menjadi lebih ringan untuk dibaca kaum remaja dan jauh
dari keseriusan dalam mengangkat topik pasar tradisional. Dengan demikian, para
remaja di Indonesia dapat lebih mengenal lebih jauh tentang pasar tradisional kita,
terutama di Kota Surakarta yang kehidupannya masih sangat berbudaya lokal.

ABSTRACT

Ima Tri Kurniawati, 2014. This Final Project’s preface has a title Design a Comic
Book of Traditional Market “DUET di Pasar Solo”. The problem researched here is
about how to design a comic book which is appealing, creative, and entertaining,
which also acquainting about the human life and history of traditional markets in
Surakarta City, especially for the youths. The design of this comic book also
intended to support the development of local-wise themed comics in Indonesia. This
comic book is expected to be a light book to read by the youths, and expected to be
far from heaviness because it picks a topic about traditional market. Thus, the
Indonesian youths will be able to acknowledge more about our traditional markets,
especially in Surakarta City which life is still exceptionally local-cultured.
