ﺪَّﻤَ ُﳏ ِلآ َو ٍﺪَّﻤَ ُﳏ َ َ ِّﻞ َﺻ َّﻢُﻬَّﻠﻟَا

O' Allāh send Your blessings on Muhammad

and the family of Muhammad.

  ِ َّ ا ِﻢْﺴِﺑ ِﻦَٰ ْﲪَّﺮﻟا ِﻢﻴِﺣَّﺮﻟا

In the Name of Allāh,

the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ِ ِﺪْﻤ ِﳊ ﺎﻧاﺪﻫ يِﺬّﻟا ِ ّ ِ ُﺪﻤ ْﳊا

Praise belongs to Allah who guided us to His

praise and placed us among the people of praise, praise,

  

)

  

ﻦﻳِﺮِﻛﺎّﺸﻟا ﻦِﻣ ِﻪِﻧﺎﺴْﺣﻹ نﻮُﻜﻨِﻟ

that we might be among the thankful for His

beneficence and ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ﲔِﻨِﺴْﺤُْﳌا ءاﺰﺟ ﻚِﻟذ ﺎﻨﻳِﺰْﺠﻴِﻟو

that He might recompense us for that with the

recompense of the good-doers! ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

يِﺬّﻟا ِ ّ ِ ُﺪْﻤ ْﳊاو

And praise belongs to Allah who

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ِﻪِﻨﻳِﺪِﺑ ﺎﻧﺎﺒﺣ

showed favor to us through His religion,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ِﻪِﺘّﻠِ ِﲟ ﺎﻨ ّﺼﺘْﺧاو

singled us out for His creed, and

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ِﻪِﻧﺎﺴْﺣإ ِﻞُﺒُﺳ ِﰲ ﺎﻨﻠّﺒﺳو

directed us onto the roads of His beneficence,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ِﻪِﻧاﻮْﺿِر ﱃإ ِﻪِّﻨ ِﲟ ﺎﻬﻜُﻠْﺴEِﻟ

in order that through His kindness we might

travel upon them to His good pleasure, ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ﺎّﻨﻋ ِﻪِﺑ Gْﺮﻳو ﺎّﻨِﻣ ُﻪُﻠّﺒﻘﺘﻳ ًاﺪْﲪ

a praise which He will accept from us and through

which He will be pleased with us! ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ُ ﺮْﻬﺷ ِﻞُﺒُّﺴﻟا ﻚْﻠِﺗ ْﻦِﻣ ﻞﻌﺟ يِﺬّﻟا ِ ّ ِ ُﺪْﻤ ْﳊاو

And praise belongs to Allah who appointed

among those roads His month, ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

نﺎﻀﻣر ﺮْﻬﺷ

the month of Ramadan,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ِمﺎﻴ ِّﺼﻟا ﺮْﻬﺷ

the month of fasting,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ِمﻼْﺳﻹا ﺮْﻬﺷو

the month of submission,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ِرﻮُﻬّﻄﻟا ﺮْﻬﺷو

the month of purity,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ِﺺﻴِﺤْﻤّﺘﻟا ﺮْﻬﺷو

the month of putting to test,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ِمﺎﻴِﻘْﻟا ﺮْﻬﺷو

the month of standing in prayer,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  _{Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan} َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد

  

ٍتﺎﻨِّSﺑو ِسﺎّﻨﻠِﻟ ىًﺪُﻫ ُنآْﺮُﻘْﻟا ِﻪﻴِﻓ لِﺰْﻧُأ يِﺬّﻟا

ِنﺎﻗْﺮُﻔْﻟاو ىﺪُْﳍا ﻦِﻣ

(in what the Qur'an was sent down as guidance to

the people, and as signs of the Guidance and the Separator!) the Separator!)

  

)

  

ُﻪﻟ ﻞﻌﺟ ﺎ ِﲟ ِرﻮُﻬُّﺸﻟا ِﺮِﺋﺎﺳ ُﻪﺘﻠﻴ ِﻀﻓ نﺎﺑﺄﻓ

ِةرﻮُﻬْﺸ ْﳌا ِﻞِﺋﺎﻀﻔْﻟاو ِةرﻮُﻓْﻮ ْﳌا ِتﺎﻣُﺮُ ْﳊا ﻦِﻣ

He clarified its excellence over other months by

the many sacred things and well-known excellencies which He placed therein, ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan} excellencies which He placed therein,

  

)

  

ًﺎﻣﺎﻈْﻋإ ِ ِ ْﲑ` ِﰲ ّﻞﺣأ ﺎﻣ ِﻪﻴِﻓ مّﺮﺤﻓ

for He made unlawful in it what He declared lawful

in others to magnify it, ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ًﺎﻣاﺮْﻛإ بِرﺎﺸ ْﳌاو ﻢِﻋﺎﻄ ْﳌا ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﺮﺠﺣو

He prohibited foods and drinks in it to honor it,

and ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ًﺎﻨِّSﺑ ﺎﺘْﻗو ُﻪﻟ ﻞﻌﺟو

He appointed for it a clear time

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ُﻪﻠْﺒﻗ مّﺪﻘُﻳ ْنأ ّﺰﻋو ّﻞﺟ ُﺰﻴِ ُﳚ ﻻ

which He (majestic and mighty is He) allows not

to be set forward and ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  _{Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan} َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد

  

ُﻪْﻨﻋ ﺮّﺧﺆُﻳ ْنأ ُﻞﺒْﻘﻳ ﻻو

accepts not to be placed behind.

ِﱄﺎﻴﻟ ِﻪﻴِﻟﺎﻴﻟ ْﻦِﻣ ًةﺪِﺣاو ًﺔﻠْﻴﻟ ﻞّﻀﻓ ّﻢُﺛ

ِرْﺪﻘْﻟا ﺔﻠْﻴﻟ ﺎﻫﺎّﲰو ٍﺮْﻬﺷ ِﻒْﻟأ

Then He made one of its nights surpass the

nights of a thousand months and named it the

  Night of Decree; Night of Decree;

)

  

ِّﻞُj ْﻦِﻣ ْﻢِﻬّﺑر ِنْذﺈِﺑ ﺎﻬﻴِﻓ ُحوُّﺮﻟاو ُﺔﻜِﺋﻼ ْﳌا ُلّmﺗ

ٍﺮْﻣأ

(in it the angels and the Spirit descend by the

leave of their Lord upon every command), ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ْﻦﻣ ِﺮْﺠﻔْﻟا ِعﻮُﻠُﻃ ﱃإ ِﺔﻛﱪْﻟا ُﻢِﺋاد ٌمﻼﺳ

ِﻪِﺋﺎﻀﻗ ْﻦِﻣ ﻢﻜْﺣأ ﺎ ِﲟ ِ ِدﺎﺒِﻋ ْﻦِﻣ ُءﺎﺸﻳ

a peace constant in blessings until the rising of

the dawn upon whomsoever He will of His servants according to the decision He has ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan} servants according to the decision He has made firm.

  ٍﺪّﻤ ُﳏ ِّﻞﺻ ّﻢُﻬّﻠﻟا ِﻪِﻟآو

O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ِﻪِﻠْﻀﻓ ﺔﻓِﺮْﻌﻣ ﺎﻨْﻤِ ْﳍأو

inspire us with knowledge of its excellence,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ِﻪِﺘﻣْﺮُﺣ لﻼْﺟإو

veneration of its inviolability, and

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ِﻪﻴِﻓ تْﺮﻈﺣ ﺎّ ِﳑ ﻆُّﻔﺤّﺘﻟاو

caution against what You have forbidden within it,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  _{Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan} َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد

  

ْﻦﻋ ِحِراﻮ ْﳉا ِّﻒﻜِﺑ ِﻪِﻣﺎﻴِﺻ ﺎّﻨِﻋأو

ﻚﻴِﺿْﺮُﻳ ﺎ ِﲟ ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﺎ ِﳍﺎﻤْﻌِﺘْﺳاو ﻚﻴِﺻﺎﻌﻣ

and help us to fast in it by our restraining our

limbs from acts of disobedience toward You and our employing them in that which pleases and our employing them in that which pleases You,

  

)

  

ٍﻮْﻐﻟ ﱃإ ﺎﻨِﻋﺎ ْﲰﺄِﺑ ﻲِﻐ ْﺼُﻧ ﻻ ّﱴﺣ

so that we lend not our ears to idle talk and

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ٍﻮْﳍ ﱃإ ﺎﻧِرﺎﺼْﺑﺄِﺑ عِﺮْﺴُﻧ ﻻو

hurry not with our eyes to diversion,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ٍرﻮُﻈْﳏ ﱃإ ﺎﻨﻳِﺪْﻳأ ﻂُﺴْzﻧ ﻻ ّﱴﺣو

we stretch not our hands toward the forbidden

and ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ٍرﻮُﺠْﳏ ﱃإ ﺎﻨِﻣاﺪْﻗﺄِﺑ ﻮُﻄْﳔ ﻻو

^{Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

stride not with our feet toward the prohibited,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ﺖْﻠﻠْﺣأ ﺎﻣ َّﻻإ ﺎﻨُﻧﻮُﻄُﺑ ﻲِﻌﺗ ﻻ ّﱴﺣو

our bellies hold only what You have made lawful

and ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ﺖْﻠّﺜﻣ ﺎ ِﲟ َّﻻإ ﺎﻨُ~ﻨِﺴْﻟأ ﻖِﻄْﻨﺗ ﻻو

our tongues speak only what You have

exemplified, ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ﻚِﺑاﻮﺛ ْﻦِﻣ ِﱐْﺪُﻳ ﺎﻣ َّﻻإ ﻒّﻠ•ﺘﻧ ﻻو

we undertake nothing but what brings close to

Your reward and ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ﻚِﺑﺎﻘِﻋ ْﻦِﻣ ﻲِﻘﻳ يِﺬّﻟا َّﻻإ ‚ﺎﻌﺘﻧ ﻻو

pursue nothing but what protects from Your

punishment! ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ْﻦِﻣ ُﻪّﻠُj ﻚِﻟذ ْﺺِّﻠﺧ ّﻢُﺛ

Then rid all of that from

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ﲔِﺋاﺮُْﳌا ِءﺎﻳِر

^{Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

the false show of the false showers and

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ﲔِﻌِﻤْﺴُْﳌا ِﺔﻌْ ُﲰو

the fame seeking of the fame seekers,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ﻚﻧوُد ًاﺪﺣأ ِﻪﻴِﻓ ُكِﺮْﺸُﻧ ﻻ

lest we associate therein anything with You or

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

كاﻮِﺳ ًاداﺮُﻣ ِﻪِﺑ ﻲِﻐﺘْzﻧ ﻻو

seek therein any object of desire but You!

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  ٍﺪّﻤ ُﳏ ِّﻞﺻ ّﻢُﻬّﻠﻟا ِﻪِﻟآو

O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ِﺲْﻤ ْﳋا ِتاﻮﻠ ّﺼﻟا ِﺖﻴِﻗاﻮﻣ ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﺎﻨْﻔِﻗو

in it make us attend to the appointed moments of

the five prayers within ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

تْدّﺪﺣ ِﱵّﻟا ﺎﻫِدوُﺪُ ِﲝ

^{Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

the bounds You have set,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ﺖْﺿﺮﻓ ِﱵّﻟا ﺎﻬِﺿوُﺮُﻓو

^{Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

the obligations You have decreed,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ﺖْﻔّﻇو ِﱵّﻟا ﺎﻬِﻔِﺋﺎﻇوو

^{Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

the duties You have assigned, and

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ّﺖّﻗو ِﱵّﻟا ﺎ ِﺎﻗْوأو

the times You have specified; and

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ﺔﻟِ ْmﻣ ﺎﻬﻴِﻓ ﺎﻨْﻟِﺰْﻧأو

in the prayers make us alight in the station of

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ﺎ ِﳍِزﺎﻨ ِﳌ ﲔِﺒﻴ ِﺼُْﳌا

the keepers of their stations,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ﺎ ِﺎjْرﻷ ﲔِﻈِﻓﺎ ْﳊا

the guardians of their pillars,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ﺎ ِﺎﻗْوأ ِﰲ ﺎﳍ ﻦﻳِّدﺆُْﳌا

their performers in their times,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  

)

  

ِﻪْﻴﻠ ﻚُﺗاﻮﻠﺻ ﻚُﻟﻮُﺳرو كُﺪْﺒﻋ ُﻪّﻨﺳ ﺎﻣ

ِﻪِﻟآو ﺎﻬِﻠ ِﺿاﻮﻓ ِﻊﻴِﲨو ﺎﻫِدﻮُﺠُﺳو ﺎﻬِﻋﻮُﻛُر ِﰲ as Your servant and Your messenger set down in his Sunnah (Your blessings be upon him and his Household) in their bowings, their ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan} his Household) in their bowings, their prostrations, and all their excellent acts,

  

)

  _{Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan} َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد

  

ِﻪِﻐﺒْﺳأو ِرﻮُﻬّﻄﻟا ِّﻢﺗأ

with the most complete and ample ritual purity

and

  

)

ِﻪِﻐﻠْﺑأو ِعﻮُﺸُ ْﳋا ِﲔْﺑأو

the most evident and intense humility!

ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﺎﻨْﻘِّﻓوو

Give us success in this month to

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ِﺔﻠ ِّﺼﻟاو ِّ ِﱪْﻟﺎِﺑ ﺎﻨﻣﺎﺣْرأ ﻞِﺼﻧ ْنﻷ

tighten our bonds of kin with devotion and gifts,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ِﺔّﻴِﻄﻌْﻟاو ِلﺎﻀْﻓﻹﺎِﺑ ﺎﻨﻧاﲑِﺟ ﺪﻫﺎﻌﺘﻧ ْنأو

attend to our neighbors with bestowal and giving,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ِتﺎﻌِﺒّ~ﻟا ﻦِﻣ ﺎﻨﻟاﻮْﻣأ ﺺِّﻠ ُﳔ ْنأو

rid our possessions from claims,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  ِجاﺮْﺧﺈِﺑ ﺎﻫﺮِّﻬﻄُﻧ ْنأو ِتاﻮﻛّﺰﻟا ^{Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

purify them through paying the alms,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ﺎﻧﺮﺟﺎﻫ ْﻦﻣ ﻊِﺟاﺮُﻧ ْنأو

go back to him who has gone far from us,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ﺎﻨﻤﻠﻇ ْﻦﻣ ﻒِﺼْﻨُﻧ ْنأو

treat justly him who has wronged us,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ﺎﻧادﺎ ْﻦﻣ ﻢِﻟﺎﺴُﻧ ْنأو

make peace with him who shows enmity toward

us ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ﻚﻟو ﻚﻴِﻓ يِدﻮُﻋ ْﻦﻣ ﺎﺷﺎﺣ

(except him who is regarded as an enemy in You

and for You, for he is ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ِﻪﻴِﻟاﻮُﻧ ﻻ يِﺬّﻟا ُّوُﺪﻌْﻟا ُﻪّﻧﺈﻓ

the enemy whom we will not befriend,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ِﻪﻴِﻓﺎﺼُﻧ ﻻ يِﺬّﻟا ُبْﺰِ ْﳊاو

the party whom we will not hold dear), and

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ِﺔﻴِﻛاّﺰﻟا ِلﺎﻤْﻋﻷا ﻦِﻣ ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﻚْﻴﻟإ بّﺮﻘﺘﻧ ْنأو

ِبﻮُﻧُّﺬﻟا ﻦِﻣ ِﻪِﺑ ﺎﻧُﺮِّﻬﻄُﺗ ﺎ ِﲟ

seek nearness to You through blameless works

which will purify us from sins and ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ِبﻮُﻴُﻌْﻟا ﻦِﻣ ُﻒِﻧْﺄﺘْﺴﻧ ﺎّ ِﳑ ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﺎﻨُﻤِﺼْﻌﺗو

preserve us from renewing faults,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

نوُد ّﻻإ ﻚِﺘﻜِﺋﻼﻣ ْﻦِﻣ ٌﺪﺣأ ﻚْﻴﻠ دِرﻮُﻳ ﻻ ّﱴﺣ

ﻚْﻴﻟإ ِﺔﺑْﺮُﻘْﻟا ِعاﻮْﻧأو ﻚﻟ ِﺔﻋﺎّﻄﻟا ِباﻮْﺑأ ْﻦِﻣ ُدِرﻮُﻧ ﺎﻣ

so that none of Your angels will bring for You the

kinds of obedience and sorts of nearness- seeking unless they be less than what we bring! ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan} seeking unless they be less than what we bring!

by the right of this month

ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﻚﻟ ﺪّﺒﻌﺗ ْﻦﻣ ِّﻖ ِﲝو

and by the right of him who worships You within it

ِﻪِﺋﺎﻨﻓ ِﺖْﻗو ﱃإ ِﻪِﺋاﺪِﺘْﺑا ِﻦِﻣ

from its beginning to the time of its passing,

whether angel You have brought nigh to You,

prophet You have sent,

ُﻪﺘ ْﺼﺼﺘْﺧا ٍ ِﱀﺎﺻ ٍﺪْﺒﻋ ْوأ

or righteous servant You have singled out,

that You bless Muhammad and his Household,

ﻚِﺘﻣاﺮﻛ ْﻦِﻣ كءﺎﻴِﻟْوأ تْﺪ و ﺎ ِﳌ ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﺎﻨْﻠِّﻫأو

make us worthy of the generosity You have

ِﰲ ِﺔﻐﻟﺎﺒُْﳌا ِﻞْﻫﻷ ﺖْﺒﺟْوأ ﺎﻣ ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﺎﻨﻟ ْﺐِﺟْوأو

ﻚِﺘﻋﺎﻃ

make incumbent for us what You have made

incumbent for those who go to great lengths in obeying You, and obeying You, and

  

)

  

ْ ﻷا ﻊﻴِﻓّﺮﻟا ّﻖﺤﺘْﺳا ِﻦﻣ ِﻢْﻈﻧ ِﰲ ﺎﻨْﻠﻌْﺟاو

ﻚِﺘ ْﲪﺮِﺑ

place us in the ranks of those who deserve

through Your mercy the highest elevation! ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

Turn us aside from deviation in professing Your

كِﺪﻴِﺠْﲤ ِﰲ ﲑِﺼْﻘّﺘﻟاو

falling short in magnifying You,

doubt in Your religion,

blindness toward Your path,

ﻚِﺘﻣْﺮُ ِﳊ لﺎﻔْﻏﻹاو

heedlessness of Your inviolability, and

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  عاﺪِ ْﳔﻹاو ِﻢﻴِﺟّﺮﻟا ِنﺎﻄْﻴّﺸﻟا كِّوُﺪﻌِﻟ

being deceived by Your enemy, the accursed

اﺬﻫ ﺎﻧِﺮْﻬﺷ ِﱄﺎﻴﻟ ْﻦِﻣ ٍﺔﻠْﻴﻟ ِّﻞُj ِﰲ ﻚﻟ نﺎj اذإو

ﻚُﺤْﻔﺻ ﺎﻬُﺒﻬﻳ ْوأ كُﻮْﻔﻋ ﺎﻬُﻘِﺘْﻌُﻳ ٌبﺎﻗِر

when in every night of this month's nights You

have necks which Your pardon will release and

  Your forgiveness disregard, Your forgiveness disregard,

)

  

ِبﺎﻗِّﺮﻟا ﻚْﻠِﺗ ْﻦِﻣ ﺎﻨﺑﺎﻗِر ْﻞﻌْﺟﺎﻓ

place our necks among those necks and

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ٍبﺎﺤ ْﺻأو ٍﻞْﻫأ ِ ْﲑﺧ ْﻦِﻣ ﺎﻧِﺮْﻬﺸِﻟ ﺎﻨْﻠﻌْﺟاو

place us among the best folk and companions of

this our month! ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  ٍﺪّﻤ ُﳏ ِّﻞﺻ ّﻢُﻬّﻠﻟا ِﻪِﻟآو

O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household,

ِﻪِﻟﻼِﻫ ِقﺎ ْﳏإ ﻊﻣ ﺎﻨﺑﻮُﻧُذ ْﻖ ْﳏاو

efface our sins along with the effacing of its

crescent moon, and ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

  

)

  

ِﻪِﻣﺎّﻳأ ِخﻼِﺴْﻧا ﻊﻣ ﺎﻨِﺗﺎﻌِﺒﺗ ﺎّﻨﻋ ْﺦﻠْﺳاو

make us pass forth from the ill effects of our acts

with the passing of its days, ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ْﺪﻗو ﺎّﻨﻋ ﻲ ِﻀﻘْﻨﻳ ّﱴﺣ

until it leaves us behind, while within it You have

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ِتﺎﺌSِﻄ ْﳋا ْﻦِﻣ ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﺎﻨ~ْﻴّﻔﺻ

purified us of offenses and

rid us of evil deeds!

O Allah, bless Muhammad and his Household,

)

  

ﺎﻨْﻟِّﺪﻌﻓ ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﺎﻨْﻠِﻣ ْنإو

should we go off to one side in this month, set us

a right; ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ﺎﻨْﻣِّﻮﻘﻓ ِﻪﻴِﻓ ﺎﻨْﻏُز ْنإو

should we swerve, point us straight; and

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ُنﺎﻄْﻴّﺸﻟا كُّوُﺪ ﺎﻨْSﻠ ﻞﻤﺘْﺷا ِنإو

ُﻪْﻨِﻣ ﺎﻧْﺬِﻘْﻨ~ْﺳﺎﻓ

should Your enemy Satan enwrap us, rescue us

from him! ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

كﺎّﻳإ ﺎﻨِﺗدﺎﺒِﻌِﺑ ُﻪْﻨﺤْﺷا َّﻢُﻬّﻠﻟا

O Allah, fill this month with our worship of You,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ﻚﻟ ﺎﻨِ~ ﺎﻄِﺑ ُﻪﺗﺎﻗْوأ ْﻦِّﻳزو

adorn its times with our obedience toward You,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

  ِﻪِﻠْﻴﻟ ِﰲو ِﻪِﻣﺎﻴِﺻ ِ ِرﺎ ِﰲ ﺎّﻨِﻋأو

help us during its daytime with its fast, and in its

night with prayer and ^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد Du’a # 44 - Welcoming of the Month of Ramadan}

ﻚْﻴﻟإ ِعُّﺮﻀّﺘﻟاو ِةﻼ ّﺼﻟا

pleading toward You,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ﻚﻟ ِعﻮُﺸُ ْﳋاو

humility toward You,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ﻚْﻳﺪﻳ ْﲔﺑ ِﺔّﻟِّﺬﻟاو

and lowliness before You,

^{َن َ َ َر ِ ْ َ ِلْ ُ ُ ِ ُ ُؤ َ ُد}

ُﻪُﻠْﻴﻟ ﻻو ٍﺔﻠْﻔﻐِﺑ ﺎﻨْSﻠ ُ ُرﺎ ﺪﻬْﺸﻳ ﻻ ّﱴﺣ

ٍﻂﻳِﺮْﻔﺘِﺑ

so that its daytime may not bear witness against

our heedlessness, nor its night against our neglect! neglect!

ّﻢُﻬّﻠﻟا

O Allah,

ﺎﻣ ﻚِﻟﺬﻛ ِمﺎّﻳﻷاو ِرﻮُﻬُّﺸﻟا ِﺮِﺋﺎﺳ ِﰲ ﺎﻨْﻠﻌْﺟاو

ﺎﻨﺗْﺮّﻤﻋ
