Abstract:
Arabic learning includes four skills, there are listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
These four skills are the main purpose in foreign languages teaching, where education is
deemed unsuccessful if the four skills already mentioned have not been achieved. Based on
the researcher’s observation of Imla’s teaching and learning process at Dayah Darul Ihsan,
Aceh Besar, she finds it difficult for students to write words in Arabic, and this is evident in
the ability to write separate and diseparate Arabic letters, and They cannot distinguish

between the Hijaiyah letters they hear from teachers’ reading (dictation) and it causes them
wrong in writing. The researcher also found another factor that is in Imla ‘learning the
teacher just dictates the word pieces to the students without explaining about the correct
writing rules so that it causes them careless and less interested to learn the lesson.
Therefore, the researcher does this research with goals there are: to know the effectiveness
of using the words of mutaqathi’ah media in Imla ‘istima’ learning to improve students’
ability to write perfect sentences and to find out the students’ responses to the use of the
words of mutaqathi’ah media in imla’ istima’I learning to improve students’ ability to write
perfect sentences. The research’s methodology used by the researcher in this research is an
experimental research with the design of One group – Pretest Postest Design . In this
research the researcher use the observation sheet, T test (T-Test) and questionnaire to
collect all data needed. While the population of this study are all students MTsS Darul
Ihsan, amounting to 472 students, and the sample of this research is class 1th (F) which
consist of 21 students. The result of this research shows that the application of Imla
‘Istima’I learning by using the words of mutaqathi’ah media is done very well it is seen on the
observation sheet where all the activities are done well, the use of crossword media in Imla’
Istima'i learning is effective in improving students' ability to write perfect sentences in
which the results of the T test results (16.533) and the significance level (Sig.) (0.05
