ABSTRACT
NURUL HIDAYAH SINAGA: Individual Selection of F3 generations Based
on the Character of time early ripening and High Production crosses
Soybean (Glycine max L.Merril) in F3 generations. Supervised by DIANA SOFIA
HANAFIAH and MBUE KATA BANGUN.
The research aimed to get individuals time early ripening and high
production of soybean genotypes to the F3 generation. This research was
conducted at the Experimental Field, Faculty of Agriculture, University of
Sumatera Utara, Medan at a height of ± 25 meters above sea level, from March to
July 2016. The parameters observed were flowering age, harvesting age, plant
height, number of primary branches, number of productif crop, number of seed,
weight of seeds, and weight of 100 seeds. The results showed that the population
of F3 to the elder females highly significant effect on the character of the age of
flowering, harvesting age, number of productive crop, number of seed, and weight
of 100 seeds, while the population of F3 to the elder males highly significant
effect on the character of the age of flowering, plan height, and significantly
different to the character of harvesting age.

ABSTRAK
NURUL HIDAYAH SINAGA : Seleksi Individu Berdasarkan Karakter Umur
Genjah dan Produksi Tinggi Persilangan Kedelai (Glycine max L.Merril). pada
Generasi F3. Dibimbing oleh Diana Sofia Hanafiah dan Mbue Kata Bangun.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan individu berumur genjah dan
produksi tinggi beberapa genotipe kedelai pada generasi F3. Penelitian ini
dilaksanakan di Lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sumatera Utara,
Medan pada ketinggian ± 25 mdpl, dari bulan Maret sampai Juli 2016. Parameter
yang diamati adalah umur berbunga, umur panen, tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang
primer, jumlah polong berisi pertanaman, jumlah biji pertanaman, bobot biji
pertanaman, dan bobot 100 biji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa populasi F3
terhadap tetua betina menunjukkan perbedaan sangat nyata terhadap karakter
umur berbunga, umur panen, jumlah polong berisi pertanaman, jumlah biji
pertanaman, dan bobot 100 biji sementara populasi F3 terhadap tetua jantan
menunjukkan perbedaan sangat nyata terhadap karakter umur berbunga, tinggi
tanaman, dan berbeda nyata terhadap karakter umur panen.
