ANALISA KADAR BESI DAN MANGAN PADA AIR BAKU DAN AIR
RESERVOIR SECARA SPEKTROFOTOMETER DI
PDAM TIRTANADI HAMPARAN PERAK
ABSTRAK
Instalasi Pengolahan Air Hamparan Perak menggunakan air sungai Belawan
sebagai air baku. Diambil sampel air baku yaitu air sungai Belawan dan air
resevoir atau air yang telah diolah di Instalasi Pengolahan Air Hamparan Perak.
Analisa kadar besi (Fe) dan mangan (Mn) dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat
Spektrofotometer UV-Visibel. Analisa dilakukan pada tanggal 11 Februari 2016
dan tanggal 19 Februari 2016. Hasil analisa pada tanggal 11 Februari 2016
diperoleh kadar besi (Fe) untuk air baku adalah 0,29 mg/l dan untuk air resevoir
adalah 0,03 mg/l. Kadar mangan (Mn) untuk air baku adalah 0,09 mg/l dan
untuk air resevoir adalah 0,062 mg/l. Pada tanggal 19 februari 2016 hasil analisa
besi (Fe) untuk air baku adalah 0,29 mg/l dan untuk air resevoir adalah 0,02
mg/l. Kadar mangan (Mn) untuk air baku adalah 0,08 mg/l dan untuk air
resevoir adalah 0,002 mg/l. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pengolahan air yang
telah dilakukan di PDAM Hamparan Perak telah memenuhi standar yang telah
ditentukan.

ABSTRACT
The water treatment plant in the Hamparan Perak by use Belawan river. The
Belawan river water used as samples is raw water and then to processed of
reservoir water in the water treatment plant Hamparan Perak. Analysis of iron
(Fe) and manganese (Mn) were performed using an UV-Visible
spectrophotometer. Analyzes were performed on february 11th 2016 and
February 19th 2016. The analysis results on the February 11th 2016 acquired the
iron (Fe) content of the raw water is 0,29 mg/l and for the water reservoir is 0,03
mg/l. The manganese (Mn) content of the raw water is 0,09 mg/l and for the
water reservoir is 0,062 mg/l. The analysis results on the February 19th 2016
acquired the iron (Fe) content of the raw water is 0,29 mg/l and for the water
reservoir is 0,02 mg/l. The manganese (Mn) content of the raw water is 0,08
mg/l and for the water reservoir is 0,002 mg/l. This indicates that the water
treatment that has been done in PDAM Hamparan Perak according to standards.
