ABSTRAK

Isolasi sosial merupakan suatu keadaan dimana seseorang mengalami masalah dalam
kepercayaan yang mengganggu kemampuannya untuk membina hubungan secara
terbuka dengan orang lain. Terapi aktifitas kelompok sosialisasi (TAKS) merupakan
salah satu upaya memfasilitasi kemampuan sosialisasi sejumlah klien dengan masalah
hubungan sosial untuk memantau dan meningkatkan hubungan interpersonal, memberi
tanggapan terhadap orang lain, mengekspresikan ide dan tukar persepsi serta memantau
penerimaan stimulus eksternal yang berasal dari lingkungan. Aplikasi TAKS di RSJ

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ildrem Medan dilakukan selama 9 hari dengan 7 kali TAKS
selama 45 menit di ruang Kamboja. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa sebelum
dilakukan TAKS klien belum mampu bersosialisasi secara verbal dan nonverbal.
Setelah dilakukan kegiatan TAKS klien menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan
bersosialisasi baik peningkatan kemampuan sosialisasi secara verbal maupun nonverbal.
Disarankan bagi perawat yang bertugas di RSJ Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ildrem untuk lebih
berperan aktif dalam melakukan kegiatan pada klien isolasi sosial terutama pelaksanaan
kegiatan TAKS yang dilakukan secara rutin dalam jangka waktu yang cukup panjang
untuk mengoptimalkan peningkatan kemampuan klien dalam bersosialisasi.

ABSTRACT

Social Isolation is a condition when a person has a problem in which he believes that he
is incapable of developing his relationship with other people. TASK (Socialization
Group Activity Therapy) is one of the attempts to facilitate the socialization capacity of
a number of clients who have social relationship problems in monitoring and increasing
interpersonal relationship, giving response to other people, expressing ideas, changing
perceptions, and monitoring external stimulus acceptance from the environment. The
application of TASK at Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ildrem Mental Hospital, Medan, was
conducted within nine days with seven times TASK within 45 minutes in Kamboja
Room. The result of the research showed that before TASK was conducted, clients were
not able to socialize verbally and non-verbally. After TASK activity was conducted, they
increased their social communication, both verbally and non-verbally. It is
recommended that nurses who are on duty at Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ildrem Mental

Hospital should be active in their activity on the social isolated patients, especially in
the TASK activity, regularly in the long run in order to optimize clients’ capacity in
socializing.
