ABSTRAK

Serbuk albedo buah jeruk bali (Citrus maximaMerr.) diekstraksi dengan
pelarut metanol 96% secara maserasi kemudian maserat yang diperoleh diuapkan
menggunakan rotary evaporator. Selanjutnya ekstrak metanol pekat dilarutkan
dengan etil asetat untuk memperoleh tanin total. Ekstrak pekat etil asetat dipartisi
dengan n-heksan sampai bening dan dipekatkan di penangas water bath sampai
diperoleh ekstrak pekat metanol yaitu flavonoid total. Selanjutnya flavonoid total dan
tanin total diuji aktivitasnya terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae
dan Salmonella typhi. Hasil penentuan kadar flavonoid total sebesar 0,185% dan
tanin total sebesar 9,05% yang keduanya berwarna biru gelap. Flavonoid total lebih
efektif sebagai anti bakteri yaitu terhadap bakteri Shigella dysenteriae dengan
diameter zona hambat tertinggi yaitu 19,1 mm sedangkan untuk bakteri Salmonella
typhi dan Escherichia coli dengan diameter 17,4 mm dan 15,4 mm pada konsentrasi
25 ppm. Sedangkan pada tanin total terhadap bakteri Salmonella typhi, Shigella
dysenteriae dan Escherichia coli masing-masing diameter hambatnya sebesar 15,7;
14,6 dan 10,6 mm pada konsentrasi 25 ppm.

ABSTRACT

Albedo of bali citrus fruit powder extracted with ethanol 96% by
maceration then maserat obtained evaporated using a rotary evaporator. Further
concentrated methanol extract was dissolved with ethyl acetate to obtain a total
tannins. Concentrated ethyl acetate extract was partitioned with n-hexane until clear
and concentrated methanol layer in the water bath to obtain a concentrated methanol
extracts are flavonoids total. Furthermore, total flavonoids and tannins total tested
its activity against Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae and Salmonella typhi.
Results of the determination of total flavonoid concentration of 0.185% and a total of
9.05% tannin were both dark blue. Total flavonoids are more effective as an
antibacterial against Shigella dysenteriae bacteria with the highest inhibitory zone
diameter of 19.1 mm, while for the bacteria Salmonella typhi and Escherichia coli
with a diameter of 17.4 mm and 15.4 mm at a concentration of 25 ppm. While the

total tannins to the bacteria Salmonella typhi, Shigella dysenteriae and Escherichia
coli respectively inhibitory diameter of 15.7; 14.6 and 10.6 mm at a concentration of
25 ppm.
