Uji Alat Pengupas Kulit Kopi Mekanis

ABSTRAK

JONSION PURBA : uji alat pengupas kulit kopi mekanis, dibimbing oleh
SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY dan ACHWIL PUTRA MUNIR.
Uji alat adalah salah satu proses pengolahan pertanian. Penelitian
bertujuan untuk menguji kopi arabika yang sesuai untuk alat pengupas kulit kopi
mekanis dengan menggunakan 3 daerah asal kopi terhadap kapasitas alat,
persentase kerusakan kopi, persentase kopi yang tidak terkelupas, persentase biji
kopi di saluran kulit dan persentase kulit disaluran biji. Dilakukan pada bulan
September dan Oktober 2013 di Laboratorium Keteknikan Pertanian, Fakultas
Pertanian, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, dengan menggunakan metode
rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) non factorial. Parameter yang diamati adalah
kapasitas alat, persentase kopi yang tidak terkelupas, persentase kopi rusak
persentase biji kopi disaluran kulit dan persentase kulit disaluran biji.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kapasitas alat sebesar 119,80 kg/jam, 157,00
kg/jam dan 160,86 kg/jam persentase kopi yang tidak terkelupas sebesar 16,50%,
6,83% dan 15,50% persentase kopi rusak 5,30%, 6,90% dan 7,90% persentase biji
disaluran kulit 3,20%, 4,76% dan 4,96% perserentase kulit disaluran biji 2,93%,
2,50% dan 3,06%.

ABSTRACT
JONSION PURBA : test of Mechanical Coffee Pulper Equipment, supervised by
SAIPUL BAHRI DAULAY and ACHWIL PUTRA MUNIR.
Equipment test is one of agriculture processing. The research was aimed
to test Arabica coffee wich is appropriate with Mechanical Coffee Pulper
Equipment from 3 different origin places of coffee to equipment capacity,
percentage of coffee damage, percentage of unpulped coffee, percentage of coffee
bean in drain skin and percentage of skin in pipe bean. Conducted from
September to October 2013 in Agriculture Engineering Laboratory. Agriculture
Faculty, Sumatera Utara University, Medan, by using non-factorial completely
randomized design (CRD). The parameters measured were equipment capacity,
percentage of unpulped coffee, percentage of coffee damage, percentage of coffee
bean in drain skin, and percentage of skin in pipe bean.
The results showed equipment capacity of 119,80 kg/hr, 157,00 kg/hr and
160,86 kg/hr. percentage of unpulped coffee of 16,50%, 6,83% and 15,50%
percentage of coffee damage of 5,30%,6,90% and 7,90% percentage of coffee
bean in drain skin of 3,20%, 4,76%, and 4,96% percentage of skin in pipe bean of
2,93%, 2,50%, and 3,06%.
