ANALISIS MINERAL KALSIUM, KALIUM, DAN MAGNESIUM
PADA BEBERAPA JENIS MINUM ISI ULANG DI KOTA MEDAN
Abstrak
Mineral yang terkandung dalam air memiliki pengaruh terhadap
kesehatan tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan kadar
kalsium, kalium, dan magnesium pada beberapa jenis air minum isi ulang di
kota Medan.
Sampel yang digunakan adalah air minum isi ulang teknik filterisasi, air
minum isi ulang teknik reverse osmosis, air minum isi ulang teknik reverse
osmosis bermerek dan air minum mineral isi ulang bermerek sebagai
pembanding. Identifikasi kalsium dilakukan dengan menggunakan pereaksi
larutan amonium oksalat 6,3%, larutan asam sulfat 1N, serta uji nyala dengan
kawat nikel krom. Identifikasi kalium dilakukan dengan menggunakan pereaksi
asam pikrat 1% b/v serta uji nyala dengan kawat nikel krom. Identifikasi
magnesium dilakukan dengan menggunakan pereaksi larutan kuning titan 0,1%
serta basa natrium hidroksida. Analisis kuantitatif kalsium, kalium, dan
magnesium menggunakan spektrofotometer serapan atom nyala udara-asetilen,
dilakukan pada panjang gelombang berturut-turut 422,7 nm, 766,49 nm, dan
285,20 nm.
Hasil analisis menunjukkan air minum isi ulang teknik filterisasi
mengandung kalsium yaitu 6,5114 mg/l sampai 14,3137 mg/l, kalium 4,9328

mg/l sampai 5,5339 mg/l, sedangkan magnesium 1,7817 mg/l sampai 3,1492
mg/l, dimana kadar tersebut masih dibawah kadar minimun kalsium dan
magnesium yang ditetapkan yaitu 20 mg/l dan 10 mg/l. Air minum isi ulang
teknik reverse osmosis mengandung kalsium, kalium, dan magnesium dengan
kadar rendah, yaitu berturut-turut 0,5676 mg/l sampai 0,8181 mg/l; 0,5682
mg/l sampai 0,6705 mg/l; dan 0,0885 mg/l sampai 0,1667 mg/l. Air minum isi
ulang teknik reverse osmosis bermerek mengandung kadar kalsium, kalium,
dan magnesium yaitu 0,5676 mg/l; 0,5917 mg/l; dan 0,1484 mg/l. Sedangkan
air minum mineral isi ulang bermerek mengandung kalsium, kalium, dan
magnesium dengan kadar 8,0173 mg/l; 5,7013 mg/l; dan 5,6921 mg/l. Kadar
tersebut juga masih dibawah kadar minimum yang ditetapkan. Sedangkan
kadar kalium tidak memiliki batas minimum. Beberapa jenis air minum isi
ulang mengandung kalsium,kalium,dan magnesium.

Mineral Analysis Of Calsium, Potassium, And Magnesium In Some Kind
Of Drinking Water From Refill In Medan

Abstract
Minerals contained in the water has an influence on the health of the
body. This study aims to find out the contents of calcium, potassium, and
magnesium in some kind of drinking water refill in Medan.
The samples used is drinking water from refill filtration technique,
drinkng water from refill reverse osmosis technique, refill drinking water
reverse osmosis technique branded and mineral water branded as a comparison.
Identification of calcium performed using 6.3% ammonium oxalate reagent,
1N sulfuric acid, and flame test by using nickel chrome. Identification of
potassium performed using 1% picric acid reagent and flame test by using
nickel chrome. Identification of magnesium performed using titan yellow
reagent and 0.1% sodium hydroxide. Quantitative analysis was done by atomic
absorption spectrophotometer with acetylene-air flame. Calcium, potassium,
and magnesium were quantitative analyzed at 422.7 nm, 766.49 nm, and
285.20 nm wavelength.
The analysis showed drinking water from refill filtration technique
contains calcium which is 6.5114 mg/l to 14.3137 mg/l, potassium 4.9328
mg/L to 5.5339 mg/l, while the magnesium 1.7817 mg/l to 3.1492 mg/l, where
the level is still below the minimum levels of calcium and magnesium were
determined as 20 mg/l and 10 mg/l. Refill drinking water reverse osmosis

technique contains calcium, potassium, and magnesium with lower levels, ie
respectively 0.5676 mg/l to 0.8181 mg/l, 0.5682 mg/L to 0.6705 mg/l; and
0.0885 mg/l to 0.1667 mg/l. Refill drinking water reverse osmosis technique
branded contain high levels of calcium, potassium, and magnesium is 0.5676
mg/l, 0.5917 mg/l and 0.1484 mg/l. While drinking water mineral refill
branded containing calcium, potassium, and magnesium to levels of 8.0173
mg/l, 5.7013 mg/l and 5.6921 mg/l The levels are still well below the
established minimum levels.. Whereas potassium levels have no minimum
limit. Several types of refill drinking water contains calcium, potassium, and
magnesium.
