The Action Package has two primary goals that underpin all our activities:

threat of AMR Globally

2. To Support Individual
Countries to take steps to
tackle AMR
• Supporting
Implementation of the
Global Action Plan on
AMR
• Practical support for
developing National
Action Plans

• Twinning Initiatives

Action Plans

efforts on NATIONAL IMPLEMENTATION. We will therefore focus on:

Twinning
Initiatives
Implementation
of NAPs
Capacity
Building
Sharing
evidence
Implications for the GHSA more
broadly
What does this mean for GHSA and our domestic policy?
Better coordination between relevant APs: Zoonotic, Surveillance, Laboratory Systems;
Workforce
Engaging other Countries outside this room: Engaging neighbouring countries in our own
regions
Close working with Multilaterals: Support the efforts of WHO,FAO and OIE e.g GLASS but also
make the most of the support they can offer
Secure Global Health Security as a Global Political Priority: Learning lessons from the AMR
UNGA journey use this momentum to raise awareness of GHS
