Miracles happen for those who believe it. I am so grateful to Allah who
shows the miracle to me for finishing this Paper. He always guides me through
every moment I have. He also supports me with giving health, ideas, motivations,
and the most important is giving the faith to keep struggle.
I am so thankful to my parents, Bisri and Siti Kholifah for all those
kindness, supports, loves, and spirit. I am also thankful to Bu Rindang as my
advisor for the guidance and advices. So many thanks to all my lectures and staffs
in the college who are very helpful for me during my study. Besides that, I also

ABSTRACT
Research on Language Learning Strategy area has important role for the
development of learning. Learning Strategy become good indicators of how
learners approach tasks and problems during process of learning. This research
paper describes an investigation of language learning strategies which are used by
students in acquiring second language. A total of 36 college students were
involved in this research. The instrument used for collecting data is questionnaire
of Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL). The result showed that
Metacognitive, Social, Affective, and Cognitive strategies are dominantly used
and Metacognitive Strategies have the highest rate of Language Learning Strategy
used. The good using of strategies in learning could help learners to be a better
learner in order to reach their goals.
