ABSTRAK
Pengamatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 sampai 28 Februari 2013 di KJUB Puspetasari di desa Klepu, Kecamatan Ceper, Kabupaten Klaten, Jawa Tengah.
Pengamatan dilakukan untuk mengetahui proses produksi pakan konsentrat untuk ternak ruminansia yang dijalankan pada KJUB Puspetasari. Konsentrat yang diproduksi meliputi
konsentrat untuk sapi potong dan konsentrat untuk sapi perah dengan komposisi meliputi Limbah roti, dedak kasar, onggok, dedak halus, bungkil isi kapuk (Klenteng), bungkil
kopra, bungkil kelapa sawit, kulit kopi, kult kacang, MK4, tetes tebu dan slaz. Bahan Sumber energi meliputi limbah roti, dedak kasar, onggok dan dedak halus. Bahan sumber
protein meliputi Bungkil Klenteng, Bungkil Kopra dan Bungkil Kelapa Sawit. Sumber serat meliputi Kulit Kopi, Kulit Kacang dan MK 4. Additive meliputi Tetes Tebu dan Slaz.
Berdasarka komposisi yang ada, selanjutnya dihasilkan pakan jenis BC (Beef Cattle) yang merupakan pakan untuk sapi potong dan DC (Dairy Cattle) yang merupakan pakan
untuk sapi perah dengan kandungan nutrient masing-masing adalah Kontafeed (PK 11%, TDN 50,93%), BC 131 (PK 12,5%, TDN 54,05%), BC 132 (PK 12,5%, TDN 50,59%),
dan BC133 (PK 12,5%, TDN 50,59%), DC 131 (PK 14,5%, TDN 67,54%), DC 132 (PK 15,5%, TDN 53,13%) dan DC 133 (PK 15,5%, TDN 53,13%). Proses Produksi yang
dijalankan meliputi proses seleksi bahan, proses penimbangan bahan, proses produksi, pengemasan hingga akhirnya pemasaran. Proses produksi berjalan dengan memperhatikan
prosedur keselamatan kerja yang meliputi penggunaan masker dan larangan merokok pada area produksi.

ABTRACT
This observation was held on March 1 to February 28, 2013 at KJUB Puspetasari Klepu village, District Ceper, Klaten regency, Central Java. Observations were carried
out to determine the feed production process concentrates for ruminants that run on KJUB Puspetasari. Concentrate produced include concentrates for beef cattle and dairy cattle
with concentrates for Waste composition includes bread, coarse bran, cassava, fine bran, oilcake content of kapok (Pagoda), copra meal, palm meal, coffee skin, kult beans, MK4,
drops sugarcane and slaz. Sources of energy waste materials include bread, coarse bran, fine bran and cassava. Protein source material includes cake Pagoda, Copra Meal and Oil
Palm. Sources of fiber include Coffee Leather, Leather Bean and MK 4. Additive include Cane Molasses and Slaz. Based upon the existing composition, then the resulting feed
type BC (Beef Cattle) which is a feed for beef cattle and DC (Dairy Cattle) which is the feed for dairy cows by nutrient content of each is Kontafeed (PK 11%, 50.93% TDN ), BC
131 (PK 12.5%, 54.05% TDN), BC 132 (PK 12.5%, 50.59% TDN), and BC133 (PK 12.5%, 50.59% TDN), DC 131 (PK 14.5%, 67.54% TDN), DC 132 (PK 15.5%, 53.13% TDN)
and DC 133 (PK 15.5%, 53.13% TDN). Production processes are executed include material selection process, the process of weighing materials, production processes, packaging
and finally marketing. Production process runs by observing safety procedures, including the use of masks and a ban on smoking in the production area.
