The purpose of this research are (1) to find the model integrating
materials of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Merapi eruption in subjects
of Geography and (2) the establishment of a forum of school-based
disaster risk reduction. The study was conducted in three education
levels ie Elementary School, Secondary School and high school.
The Research at the elementary school level conducted in the two

schools there are SDN 1 Balerante and SDN 2 Balerante using
Classroom Action Research methods and CTL models; the reseach at
the Junior High School level conducted in two junior schools there are
SMPN I Kemalang and SMPN II Kemalang using experimental methods
and integrated learning models , the reseach at the Senior High School
level conducted at the two schools, there are SMAN I Karangnongko
and SMAN Prambanan using Classroom Action Research methods and
"investigation groups" learning models.
The results of this research showed that the integration of disaster risk
reduction materials of Mount Merapi eruption in elementary school,
junior high school and senior high schools has been able to increase
students' knowledge and students’ preparedness to face the danger of
Mount Merapi eruption
Establishment of Disaster Risk Reduction Forum at each school has
been able to increase school, parents and the community readiness to
face the danger of Mount Merapi eruption
