Kidung Arthawarsa: Edisi Teks, Analisis Struktur, dan Semiotik.

ABSTRACT

This research uses the Kidung Arthawarsa as research materials with
philology and literature as the main subject. The purpose from this research is to
present a text that free from errors, making translation into Indonesian so that the
reader can understand, and assess the structure and the meaning of the Kidung
Arthawarsa.
That purpose achieved by philological and literature reserach. Related to
philology research the phases such as script tracking and inventory. Manuscript
that has been obtained compared to determine the basic edition. Principles from
text edition of Kidung Arthawarsa done by the working principles of grounding
methods as found in the five of Kidung Arthawarsa manuscripts. The result of text
edition then translated into the Indonesian language based on free translatiin
method and partial translation. Related to literature approach, especially
structural approach, aspects of the Kidung Arthawarsa assessed through formal
structure and narrative structure in order to interpret the meaning of the Kidung
Arthawarsa.
The results of this research show that the text of Kidung Arthawarsa
experienced dynamics literature system. Looks conventions of formal structure,
Kidung Arthawarsa still using metrum macepat as generally although found four
types of puh that is not commonly used, namely Puh Sendon Kadiri, Puh Sendon,

Puh Sasendon, and Puh Cacandiran. Narratively there are three integrated
motives, namely Panji, Calonarang, and tantri. That three motives is the
hallmark of the panji story in the Bali tradition. In the text of Kidung Arthawarsa
seemed concept of bhakti implemented in swadharma (obligation), namely
obligations of husband and wife, and the obligation to parents.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini menggunakan Kidung Arthawarsa sebagai bahan kajian
dengan pokok bahasan filologi dan kesastraan. Tujuan dari penelitian yakni
tersajinya teks yang bersih dari kesalahan, membuat terjemahan ke dalam
Bahasa Indonesia sehingga dimengerti pembaca, serta mengkaji struktur dan
makna Kidung Arthawarsa.
Upaya tercapainya tujuan melalui cara penelitian filologi dan sastra.
Terkait penelitian filologi tahapan dilakukan antara lain pelacakan dan
inventarisasi naskah. Naskah yang telah diperoleh dibandingkan untuk

menentukan dasar edisi. Prinsip edisi teks Kidung Arthawarsa dilakukan
berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip kerja metode landasan karena ditemukan pada lima
buah naskah Kidung Arthwarsa. Teks hasil edisi kemudian diterjemahkan ke
dalam bahasa Indonesia berdasarkan prinsip kerja metode terjemahan bebas dan
terjemahan parsial. Terkait pendekatan sastra, khususnnya pendekatan struktural,
aspek-aspek Kidung Arthawarsa dikaji melalui struktur formal dan struktur
naratif guna menginterpretasi makna Kidung Arthawarsa.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teks Kidung Arthawarsa
mengalami dinamika sistem sastra. Tampak struktur formal secara konvensi,
Kidung Arthawarsa berbahasa Tengahan dan tetap menggunakan metrum
macepat seperti pada umumnya walau ditemukan empat jenis puh yang tidak
lazim digunakan, yakni Puh Sendon Kadiri, Puh Sendon, Puh Sasendon, dan
Puh Cacandiran. Secara naratif tampak ada kepaduan tiga motif, yakni panji,
calonarang, dan tantri. Ketiga motif tersebut merupakan ciri khas cerita panji
dalam tradisi Bali. Pada teks Kidung Arthawarsa tampak konsep bhakti
diimplementasikan dalam swadharma (kewajiban), yakni kewajiban suami istri,
dan kewajiban kepada orang tua.
