Abstract
Every new semester, schools have problems in processing competency value data and distribution
of student achievement scores. Loss of report cards due to students' carelessness and limitations of
the cabinets as storage places become obstacles to schools even though management has been
organized with conventional systems. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to design and build
a Data Processing System of Student Value Based Web and SMS Gateway with CodeIgniter

Framework so that it can produce an application that gives information of academic value and
expected to help students, teachers and parents. In this research used active and descriptive
method where the researcher plan the research and then analyze the problem which then will be
taken action to make a system of information processing of value. In this research used active and

the system that has been made, Data Management Information System Web-based student values
and SMS Gateway meets the expectations and needs in helping schools provide value information
to students, teachers and parents.

Abstrak
Pada setiap tahun ajaran baru, sekolah memiliki permasalahan dalam pengolahan data nilai
kompetensi dan distribusi capaian nilai siswa. Kehilangan raport yang karena kecorobohan siswa
serta keterbatasan lemari sebagai tempat penyimpanan menjadi hambatan bagi sekolah walaupun
pengelolaan sudah terorganisir dengan sistem konvensional. Oleh karena itu tujuan penelitian ini
adalah merancang dan membangun sebuah Sistem Infromasi Pengolahan Data Nilai Siswa
Berbasis web dan SMS Gateway dengan Framework CodeIgniter sehingga dapat dihasilkan
aplikasi yang memberikan informasi nilai akademik dan diharapkan dapat membantu siswa, guru

dan orang tua. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode aktif dan deskriptif dimana peneliti
merencanakan penelitian dan selanjutnya menganalisis permasalahan yang selanjutnya akan
diambil tindakan untuk membuat suatu sistem informasi pengolahan nilai. Berdasarkan pengujian
pada sistem yang telah dibuat, Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Data Nilai siswa berbasis web dan
SMS Gateway sudah memenuhi harapan dan kebutuhan dalam membantu sekolah memberikan
informasi capian nilai kepada siswa, guru dan orang tua.
