ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini berjudul TANGGAPAN PENGGUNA TENTANG TATA RUANG
PERPUSTAKAAN SMA NEGERI 14 BANDUNG. Tujuan penelitian adalah
untuk mengetahui tanggapan pengguna tentang tata letak, warna, pencahayaan,
sirkulasi udara, suara (akustik) dan furniture perpustakaan SMA Negeri 14
Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Populasi penelitian
adalah pengguna yang merupakan siswa kelas X, XI dan XII dan sampel yang
diambil adalah sebanyak 91 orang dengan menggunakan teknik Proportionate
Stratified Random Sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif
dengan distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanggapan
pengguna tentang tata letak adalah kurang, tanggapan pengguna tentang warna
adalah cukup, tanggapan pengguna tentang pencahayaan adalah baik, tanggapan
pengguna tentang sirkulasi udara adalah baik, tanggapan pengguna tentang suara
(akustik) adalah kurang dan tanggapan pengguna tentang furniture di
perpustakaan adalah baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tanggapan
pengguna tentang tata ruang perpustakaan SMA Negeri 14 Bandung adalah
cukup.

ABSTRACT
The title of this research is USERS RESPONSE TO INTERIOR DESIGN OF
LIBRARY SMA NEGERI 14 BANDUNG. The aim of the research was to find out
user’s response to location and accessibility, color, lighting, air circulation,
sound (acoustic) and furniture of library SMA Negeri 14 Bandung. The
population were students from class X, XI and XII in SMA Negeri 14 Bandung
and samples were 91 persons with Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling
method. The technique of data analysis was descriptive analysis. The research’s
result showed that user’s response to location and accessibility of library was not
good, user’s response to color of library was good enough, user’s response to
lighting in library was good, user’s response to air circulation in library was
good, user’s response to sound (acoustic) in library was not good and user’s
response to furniture in library was good. So, the conclusion of the research was
the response of user to interior design of library SMA Negeri 14 Bandung based
on its location and accessibility, color, lighting, air circulation, sound (acoustic)
and furniture was good enough.
