ABSTRACT

  Jargon is one of the linguistics phenomenon. It belongs to Sociolinguistics. Jargon is a secret language which is used in occupational scope and community (group of people), so that the only people in the same occupation or community who can understand the context within the conversation. The writer has found this existed in some corruption cases in Indonesia. The main purposes of this research is not only to reveal the corruption jargon words with their meanings but also to analyze them semantically. Therefore, this researchis conducted in domain of Sociolinguistics and Semantics. This research belongs to qualitative researches. The data are collected by using transcripts and online news articles or newspapers e.g

  

detik.com , suaramerderka.com, tempo.co and many others. The data are taken or collected

  from the internet. As a result, the writer found 62 corruption jargon words. There are 55 jargon words (88.7%) which associate with or connote different refences from common people‟s ideas. For example, apel malang refers to apple from Malang but these corruptors connate it as money in rupiah or Indonesian currency. The other jargon words are abbreviation. There are 7 of 62 (11.7%) jargon words constructed into abbreviation.

ABSTRAK

  Jargon merupakan salah satu fenomena linguistik. Jargon termasuk kedalam ilmu Sosiolinguistik. Jargon adalah bahasa rahasia yang biasanya di gunakan di dalam lingkungan kerja dan komunitas (sekelompok orang), sehingga hanya orang-orang di pekerjaan atau komunitas yang sama saja yang dapat memahaminya. Penulis telah menemukan hal tersebut juga terjadi dalam beberapa kasus korupsi di Indonesia. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah tidak hanya untuk mengungkapkan kata-kata jargon korupsi dan artinya tetapi juga menganalisanya secara semantik. Jadi, penelitian ini dilakukan pada domain Sosiolinguistik dan Semantik. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan transkrip dan artikel berita online atau koran contohnya detik.com, suaramerderka.com, tempo.co dan lain sebagainya. Semua data dikumpulkan dari internet. Oleh karena itu, penulis menemukan 62 kata jargon korupsi. Terdapat 55 kata-kata jargon (88.7%) yang mengandung makna berbeda dari makna yang diketahui orang pada umumnya.

  Misalnya, apel malang mengacu apel dari Malang akan tetapi koruptor mengartikan ini sebagai uang dalam rupiah atau mata uang Indonesia. Kata-kata jargon lainnya adalah berupa singkatan. Ada 7 dari 62 kata (11.7%) jargon di bentuk menjadi singkatan.
