Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh berwawasan gender
dengan Cinderella Complex pada remaja putri.
Hipotesa yang diajukan adalah ada hubungan negatif yang sangat signifikan antara pola asuh
berwawasan gender dengan Cinderella Complex pada remaja.
Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 25 – 26 November 2005. Subyek penelitian adalah siswi SMK
PGRI 02 Malang kelas 2, usia 17 - 18 tahun, mempunyai saudara kandung laki-laki, orang tua
masih lengkap dan berjumlah 50 subyek. Adapun metode pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan
metode purposive sampling. Data diperoleh menggunakan (1) skala pola asuh berwawasan
gender, dan (2) skala Cinderella Complex. Uji validitas menggunakan product moment, indeks
validitas untuk (1) skala pola asuh berwawasan gender sebesar 0,2887 – 0,6922 dan (2) skala
Cinderella Complex 0,3006 – 0,6306.
Data diolah menggunakan analisa product moment. Dengan r = -0,433 dan P = 0,002 pada taraf
signifikan 1% serta mempunyai sumbangan efektif sebesar 18,7% (r2 = 0,187). Sedangkan
81,3% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti seperti budaya yang berkembang di
masyarakat, latar belakang pendidikan orang tua, media massa, dan status sosial keluarga.
Berdasarkan hasil di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada korelasi negatif yang sangat signifikan
antara pola asuh berwawasan gender dengan Cinderella Complex, semakin tinggi pola asuh
berwawasan gender maka Cinderella Complex semakin rendah, begitu juga sebaliknya jika pola
asuh berwawasan gender rendah maka Cinderella Complex cenderung tinggi pada remaja.
Dari kesimpulan yang ada, disarankan kepada orang tua untuk bisa memberikan suasana yang
kondusif yang memungkinkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak-anak secara maksimal,
selain itu orang tua hendaknya melatih pada anak perempuan untuk lebih mandiri dan
bertanggung jawab pada dirinya sendiri. Sehingga kebiasaan tergantung pada orang lain menjadi
berkurang.
Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between gender-oriented upbringing with Cinderella
Complex in young women.
The hypothesis put forward is that there is a very significant negative relationship between genderoriented upbringing with Cinderella Complex in adolescents.
The study was conducted on December 25 to 26 November 2005. Subjects were 02 female students of
SMK Malang PGRI grade 2, age 17-18 years, had a male sibling, parents are still complete and totaled 50
subjects. The method of taking the sample using purposive sampling method. Data obtained using (1)
parenting scale gender oriented, and (2) scale Cinderella Complex. Test the validity of using the product
moment, the index of validity for (1) gender-oriented parenting scale of 0.2887 to 0.6922 and (2)
Cinderella Complex scale 0.3006 to 0.6306.
Data were analyzed using product moment analysis. With r = -0.433 and P = 0.002 at significant level 1%
as well as having effective contribution amounting to 18.7% (r2 = 0.187). While 81.3% influenced by
other variables not studied like culture that flourished in the community, the educational background of
parents, mass media, and social status.
Based on the above results it can be concluded that there is a very significant negative correlation
between gender-oriented upbringing with Cinderella Complex, the higher the sound upbringing of
gender then the lower the Cinderella Complex, and vice versa if low gender-oriented parenting
Cinderella Complex is likely to be high in adolescents .
From the conclusion that there is, it is suggested to parents to be able to provide a conducive
atmosphere that enables growth and development of children to the maximum, other than that parents
should train the girls to be more independent and responsible to himself. So the habit of depending on
others to be reduced.
