Curriculum is a written document which may contain many ingredients, but basically it is a plan for the education of pupils during their enrollment in given
school Sudrajat. From the definitions of curriculum above, it could be said that curriculum is a
set of guideline consists of goals and materials of a subject of study to achieve the objectives of educational program.
2.5.1 Conversation in School Based Curriculum KTSP
Recently, the government introduced KTSP School Based Curriculum as a new curriculum replacing Competence Based Curriculum 2004 KBK. The purpose
is to increase the quality of teaching, especially teaching English. In KTSP Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Inggris Depdikbud: 2004, teaching English in junior high school
has aims as follows: 1 developing communicative competence either in oral or written ways to achieve functional literacy level; 2 having awareness of the essence
and the importance of English to enhance competitive power of nation in global society; 3 developing students

dengan lingkungan sekitar yang meliputi tindak tutur: mengundang,
menerima dan
menolak ajakan,
menyetujui tidak menyetujui, memuji, dan memberi selamat.

In this study, teaching how to speak or make a short conversation that aimed to communicate with the society is stated in the competence above. By teaching adjacency pair to the students, it can
improve the students ability to communicate in the society to exchange meaning or purpose.
2.5.2 Problems during Speaking Activities in the Classroom
