7.3 DIAGNOSES BY ICPC-2 CHAPTER

Table 7.2 shows the distribution of diagnoses by ICPC-2 chapter, and most frequent diagnoses within each chapter in an order of decreasing frequency. Only individual diagnoses constituting at least 0.5 of all diagnoses were listed in Table 7.2. ‡ 5HVSLUDWRU\ SUREOHPV ZHUH WKH PRVW IUHTXHQWO\ PDQDJHG GLDJQRVHV DFFRXQWLQJ IRU RI DOO diagnoses and 32.2 of patient encounters. For instance, endocrinemetabolic and cardiovascular problems were more frequently managed in public clinics and accounted for higher proportion of all diagnoses in public compared to private clinics. On the other hand, respiratory and digestive problems were more commonly managed at private clinics. Nearly all chronic diseases were less frequently reported at private clinics and comprised a lower percentage of all diagnoses managed in private clinics.
