ABSTRACT
Identification of land Characteristics to evaluate the maber plamation system was carrjed out
at the Kerinci and its surrounding area, Ri81.l from May 2002 up to October 2003. The objectives of
this research were to idendfy land characteris.ics of plantation system influencing its production and
benefit value, and to compile criteria of site specific. Location was identified by thoe Landsat 7
ETMft band 347 ROB designed in the land use utiliz2;tion type (LUT): garden and estate. In each
