So whoever of you sights the crescent on the first night of the month of Ramadhan i.e. is present at his home, he must observe saum fasts that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe saum fasts must be made up] from other days. Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. He wants that you must complete the same number of days, and that you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say Takbir Allahu-Akbar, Allah is the Most Great] for having guided you so that you may be grateful of Him.” This verse explai ns that Qur’an derived as the guideline for humans and explanations about direction between right and wrong. CHAPTER V CONCLUSION

This chapter is the last chapter of this research. This chapter consist of two part, they are conclusion of findings and suggestion for future research.

5.1 Conclusion

The researcher presents conclusion of the study. First, the researcher studied about types of directive speech acts in Surah An- Nisa’ by using the theory of directive speech act Bach and Harnish as guidline. The researcher also explain the function of type directive speech act. Based on the findings and discussion, it was found that Surah An- Nisa’ used five types of directive speech act based on Bach and Harnish’s classification. Surah An- Nisa’ used questions, requirements, prohibitions, permissions and a dvices. There are 76 data of directive speech act. The percentage of questions 1 1, whereas requirements is 49 37, prohibitions is 31 24, permissions is 7 5 and a dvices is 12 9. Related to the second question from this research, the researcher found that there are some functions of directive speech acts in Surah An- Nisa’. They are ask, command, permit, forbid and suggest. The most significant occurrences number is command.
