fourteenth
research statement, the teaching method used in class develops
the students‟ interest to study more, was to find out whether the teaching method used in class developed
the students‟ interest to study English materials more. The result showed that eight 25.80, out of 31 students, strongly agreed
with the research statement. There were 18 students 58.06 agreed the teaching method used in class developed
the students‟ interest to study English materials more. Yet, there were four students 12.90 answered disagree and a student
3.22 answered strongly disagree. They perceived that the teaching method used in class could not develop their interest to study English materials more.
The
fifteenth
research statement was aimed to gain the students‟ opinion on the teaching method used in class that could make the students understand the
materials easily. The result showed that eight students 25.80 chose SA Strongly Agree, 23 students 74.19 chose A Agree and none of the students
neither disagreed nor strongly disagreed. The result proved that the students were benefited from the teaching method used in class. The 29.03 students felt that
the teaching method used in class that could make the students understand the materials easily. While the rest 70.96 students felt that the teaching method
used in class that could make the students understand the materials easy enough. It can be said that all of the students experienced positive influences of cooperative
learning implemented in the English class. The students claimed:

, was to find out students‟ opinion on the teaching method implemented in class which make the students
interested in learning English. The table showed six students 19.35 strongly agreed, 20 students 65.51 agreed and four students 12.90 disagreed to the

were very interested in learning English through cooperative learning implemented and 65.51 of students felt that they were fairly interested in
learning English through cooperative learning implemented in class. However 12.90 of the students felt that cooperative learning implemented did not make

interdependence toward the implementation of cooperative learning in class. The researcher used two theories from Johnson et al. 1994. The first theory was
students realize that each individual affect success and the work of the others. They must share information in order to complete their tasks because the work is
structured Johnson et al., 1994. The second theory was students learn and use appropriate social skills including leadership, decision-making, trust building,
communication and conflict-management Johnson et al., 1994.

Research statement number 21 discussed about whether the classroom activities that are provided make the learning interesting for the students. There
were 13 students 41.93 strongly agreed and 45.16 14 students agreed. Meanwhile, four students 12.90 disagreed to the research statement. The
student claimed:
I liked the method used in class because we, the students, could share our knowledge. We could also interact discussing about other topics. However,
sometimes I do not like the materials given. Interviewee 1
Research statement number 22 was to find out whether the teaching method made the class had a better atmosphere of learning. The result showed that
